How to set up pvp/co-op for keyboard and controller:
Plug in a controler, pick a game (in-game), don't start a playthrough yet. Go to controls settings (operate with keyboard only) and set player's 2 controls manually. This way player 1 will operate with controller and player 2 with keyboard.

Crystalis
I bought it for Crystalis. One of the best NES games made. The emulation is very good. It has good controls and the SNK 30th edition also offers extra art, etc. Well worth it. :) Glad to see it on GOG.

Nice collection! Turn off VR sync!!!
Turn off the VR sync in options or it's almost unplayable. It's got about 25 games. Plus Japan and console versions of most of those games. Some of with are pretty different like Guerrilla War. Pretty good game selection and it works great with an Xbox controller. I got it to play on sale to play while I'm injured and it's the perfect selection for that. Very well done. Worth a buy even at full price. Especially with all the options!

SNK before NeoGeo
Just like it say, this is a collection of SNK games before they made the NeoGeo and became more widely known. So the highlights of this to the average gamer would be Crystalis and the Ikari Warriors games. Crystalis is an action RPG that released first on the NES, plays well and has an interesting story. Shame for the most part SNK never released any RPG's after this except the Samurai Showdown one that released in Japan on the SS, PSOne and NeoGeo CD. As for Ikari Warriors they're top down action shooters where you destroy tanks, soldiers and entrenchments if I remember this last one correctly. You can even gain a tank which gives you a bit of health to sustain gameplay. You can shoot in all directions I believe(can't remember if you could shoot behind) which was accomplished in the arcade by a twistable/rotatable joystick. This was an arcade game that was always fun for a while. Here's hoping SNK has another pre-NeoGeo collection gathering anything left. Also I hope to see more collections like this, esp. from Taito and Success.

Buy for Crystalis, the rest are a bonus
The SNK Anniversary collection has a lot of cool features, but the reason to get this is to add Crystalis to your GOG collection. Crystalis is an RPG/Action game sort of like Zelda but has its own personality and game play. When I was a kid, this was one of the most surprising and enthralling video games at the time, and it turns out SNK's only RPG style game. They got everything right, and it remains one of my top games to this day. Fast paced, action packed but with a deep storyline, it appeals to modern gamers and nostalgia-seekers. Play it without a guide and have fun discovering new areas. Monsters are trickier than they look. The new save feature is convenient. The rest of the games are adapted from the original arcade games and if you like quarter-munchers, then you will love them. Ikari Warriors will keep you busy for a while. This is a very strong release with some great pictures and artwork that displays the early history of SNK games, and if you are into the old-school, buy this collection and have some fun. For Crystalis alone, it is worth the price as a "collector's item". No bugs, runs great on W10. My Xbox controller goes a little haywire every now and then. Save often!
