Fun Drifter

This game is quick, short and fun. Once you master drifting through an S turn and hitting a slipstream (8 minutes max) the game becomes EASY but that's ok. There are a few different modes of gameplay in both single player and 2-4 Couch co-op. PS4 controller support is nice as it feels tighter with a D-pad. No GOG achievements, No Online multiplayer and there is a bug with the slipstream mechanic where the opponent you are racing can accelerate with you on your own slipstream if they are on the screen and not ahead of your front bumper, that last one is the only challenge in the game. There is a hard mode if normal gets easy. I feel the strength in this game is 4 player couch co-op. You can spend 10 minutes or an hour. The fast moving road colour changes can mess with you, if there where a way to blend them more so it wasn't so contrast it would be more enjoyable. Very reminiscent of Sega games from CD→Saturn era of time. For a $12 game, 9/10 . Well done.

An absolute gem

The current version 1.3.2 of the game is fantastic. Anyone who loves Out Run and wants something up-to-date will get their money's worth here. The level of difficulty ranges from chilly excursions to challenging races. Especially Battle Royal with 16 cars on hard is tough! The game modes are varied and the random selection never fails to impress. The game is a great pick for everyone. My praise to the developer. Perhaps an additional difficulty level for the absolute hardcore gamers would be an idea, as well as reverse tracks available in Canonball. Can't wait for mod support too :-)

Pretty cool

Had a lot of fun with this split screen. No, it does not compare to outrun or roadrash, but it's still pretty great.

Very Nice.....But

An awesome throwback to 2d racers of the 80's and early 90's. Slipstream is easy to learn but difficult to master. There is a lot to appreciate here, from the asthetic to the simple mechanics, it looks and sounds great and feels smooth to play. Saldy for me, Slipstream has an empahsis on perfecting your races to the point that it often feels more frustrating than fun. There is some pretty blatant AI manipulation goiong on and tracks sometimes have blind corners that were obscured by objects or hills. None of this would be an issue if you are the kind of person to dedicate yourself to mastering the game and improving little by little until you reach the top of that leaderboard. This one is going to appeal to the hardcore rather than casual players.

Fun but with some mistakes

I loved my first hours in this game. The graphics and the speed feeling is nice. Very arcade and fun. There are a lot of game modes which could give you infinite hours of fun. The music is ok, others love it, but it seems just ok for me. The control is good. However it has some mistakes: 1. You'll miss is some difficulty levels. It lets you change the difficulty of the car control, but you cannot do the AI rival harder (or easier) 2. If you have a slower car than a rival and there isn't anyway to get the "slipstream" (turbo), you will never catch him, because nobody lose speed in the curves (it's not a physic based game). 3. When the music track switch, there is a small lag.
