Not the best airport builder out there.
Would have had three stars if the developers - when announcing their intention to abandon development of the game to their Steam fanbase, had also been bothered enough to let us GOG users know about it too... Really annoying when people are only too happy to take your money but not keep you posted about major developments... ...so let's start with the minuses... 1) As mentioned above, no longer being developed. Real Welders have abandoned the game with the intention of developing a new version. Pretty hard on the people who paid money for the game, but that's the risk of Early Access for you. 2) Made with Unity, so all of the usual problems there. Excessive memory use - ridiculously slow framerates and that god-awful square playing area that destroys any kind of realism...to name but a few. 3) Severely lacking in instructions as to what to do once you've built your initial setup. 4) Painfully slow gameplay. Researching anything takes forever, and you don't get that many planes landing in the early stages of the game, which means that money remains tight. This is SO noticeable that I actually began to suspect that I was falling victim to a deliberate time wasting tactic that would ensure that the refund period expired before I had chance to make up my mind properly - so I got my refund request in as soon as I could. 5) There are a few others but want to make sure that I mention the plusses and to be honest, I've actually lost the will to live... So, onto the plusses... (That's the English spelling if it seems weird...) 1) It's an airport building game - and there aren't "that" many around... 2) ... ... ... ...sorry, no, I think that's it, although in fairness, I should say that what I played was fun to a certain extent. Final judgement. Is it playable? Yes, of sorts, but I have no idea how long you'd have to play it for, before something interesting started happening. Is it worth the full asking price? Heck no. Buy it when it's discounted.
