One word: Masterpiece

I love strategy and love fast paced shooters. Weird combo but like it. So for example I play Original Sin 2, Risk of Rain 2, Borderlands 3, CoD games. And this one feels lot like CoD game with its gunplay. Shooting and fighting in this game is sooooo satisfying, Its only reason that elevates this game from good game to MASTERPIECE. I completed game for 4-5 times from its release, every few years. SHORT LIST Is it great gunplay? BIG YES!!! Is it scary? First hour maybe, a bit, after that not scary but intriguing. Good story? I would say yes, I like it, if i completed it few times. Cool abilities? Yes and no, cool at first but just gimmicks, with few exceptions like time bubble where you shoot 30 bullets and stand to side to see how they destroy enemy face when bubble collapses. Is it long? Its perfect size, doesnt drag out, I would like it to last longert but I know it would destroy its narative and drag game out. In 2021? I played it recently and works fine on Windows 10, 1080p, with dual monitor setup. Graphics are fine i really dont mind them but switching from new shooters it might feel strange at first. Or just dont mind cause of nostalgia. Anyway I like graphics and Am guy that cares about graphics. WORTH?! Full price is 27$, Its activision and activision is IMO biggest bullshit company. Hate them more than EA or Ubisoft. I would say 27$ is worth it, but its old game and activision is money grab so I would feel cheated. However its 5$ now on sale and I would say DEFINITIVE BIG YES! Get this game and experience this MASTERPIECE!

Typical early 2010s shooter

Singularity is best described as a game with Rage syndrome. Although made by a different studio on a different engine, just like Rage it's main quality is just how generic most of the game is. The setting is pretty cool, with all the time travel shenannigans (and equipment that utilizes said time travel) and Soviet-style theme. You've got a device that allows you to manipulate time - you can age or repair objects with it. The problem is that although visually spectacular, it doesn't change the game much - it all boils down to sometimes having to press an extra button to create cover or get health packs. Like many shooters of that era, the player's mobility is severily limited. Jump is useless, you are relatively slow, and your character gets tired after 5 seconds of sprinting. The shooting is OK. It's not bad. It's not good. It's just OK - perhaps symptomatic of the whole game. The levels are mostly forgettable, with the typical grey industrial/military theme. There are very few set pieces that are actually worth remembering. At least some of the designs are pretty cool, like how the guns look like. Speaking of guns - the arsenal is also painfully standard. You get your assault rifle, shotgun, railgun-kinda-thing, pistol... The only thing worth remembering is the grenade launcher that lets you guide grenades, although that has very limited usefullness. The game also seems to lack polish. It runs on Unreal Engine 3, but a lot of the textures are so blurry they'd be ugly even on UE 2. There are glitches, including one where a key character falls through the floor while talking about crucial plot points. Finally, what I found bothersome was the limited FOV and heavy camera wobble when moving. It can't be adjusted either, so if you tend to get motion sickness be aware of that. The game was about 4 - 5 hours long, which is just about enough given its genericness. At least it doesn't overstay its welcome.

Yes, you should get this.

If you have a penchant for first person shootage with a little bit of stealth, a little bit of puzzling, a little bit of sci-fi, a lot of time manipulation, gunplay, killing and blowing shit up in ever more creative ways and a decent story, then this is for you. Plus it has elements of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., F.E.A.R and Bioshock.

A hidden gem from the seventh gen

Well-paced, brimming with atmosphere, and sporting a remarkable level of worldbuilding, Singularity stands as one of the leanest ‘n meanest linear FPSs of its generation. The blend of TMD abilities and potent firepower makes every fight feel unpredictable and empowering, while Katorga-12’s tragic backstory imbues each level with tangible dread. If you’re a fan of Half-Life 2, F.E.A.R., BioShock, Atomic Heart, and Metro, you’ll find a lot to love and fondly recall in Raven’s pleasantly idiosyncratic shooter.
