SimCity™ 3000 Unlimited

Played this on Day 1 back in the day and still holds up. The perfect blend of simplicity while having a painterly graphic interface that still holds up. The soundtrack is a must for any BGM and jazz lover.

Ancient graphics aside, this is, and probably will always remain, my favorite version of SimCity. It's a bit slow, but I like it that way. I love me a good city builder, and this one is one I keep going back to over and over. And the music! I love me some good nostalgic music. Gog did a great job making it playable on modern devices.

Du moins la dernière avant (sim city 4) que la licence des Sims n’imprègne la série. S3K garde le charme et l'humour de l'édition 2000, avec une interface plus agréable et ergonomique. Il faudra trouver un patch pour adapter la résolution, et supporter qu'une fois de temps en temps le jeu crash subitement. Malheureusement il n'y a pas de sauvegarde automatique, mais ça c'est d'époque (il faudra penser à sauvegarder régulièrement). Le jeu est fourni avec un éditeur de bâtiment, que l'ont peut créer en assemblant des briques, puis appliquer des textures.

Although lacking the patience to get as kid, this was and still is one of the best city building games of all time.

Thank you for bringing this game back to life! The only complaint I have is with the scrolling around the game. It is oversensitive, and sometimes, it causes me to overstep a tile when building or leveling the ground. If need be, I may try to take a video and send it to you.
