The best SIlent Hill game I've ever played

Very scary game that has aged pretty well

I think overall it is a great game, the concept of the room is very unique and exploring diferente worlds was refreshing. Although the story is interesting i feel that Walter wasn't as great of a villain as i was expecting. Once the mistery was resolved he didn't stand out for me.

Thanks for releasing this classic on GoG! It played flawlessly, might go for another playthrough soon. I think this game is actually quite influential to modern horror games, you can see its influence in games like Visage. It introduced some unique mechanics that totally changed the formula. I really hope GoG will be able to bring other classic silent hill titles so they’ll be preserved and well maintained like they’ve done here with silent hill 4. Keep up the great work with the oldies! I recommend the game to anyone who enjoys surreal horror experiences. It does require the player to be open minded and you should prepared for some jank. However, I believe it’s worth the effort. there is really nothing else quite like this game in concept, atmosphere and horror. I feel like it’s the scariest silent hill game, especially when it comes to the titular room, and just the overall concept of being locked in your own apartment is quite unsettling and uncanny feeling. When it comes to the story, there is a very interesting and intriguing mystery to discover too. Highly recommended for horror fans!
