Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack

Paid $1.49, and not worth it to me. I remember not finishing this game, but it is so outdated, there isn't joy in it for me. Pass unless you have a burning need for this specific game.

I still own most of the games on GOG, but I still purchase them, simply because its easier to find this than the original discs, but also to support this great site. However, I won't be purchasing this one until Alien Crossfire is added. The Original game was great, but the Expansion really finished it off, and made it the classic it is.

I put a hole in my monitor, voted 1 for that, and 5 for the game. So a three overall.

I love the game, I think it is better than the original Civ series! But the self pretentious tw@ clever dick oh were so superior because we're "syuncetizts" BS! Literally, it made me want to puke. The barrage of tw@tery in the techtree comments, both historical and fictional, were like being stuck all night in a lift with Hawkins, Dawkins, Darwin and Hitchens with Stephen Fry smugly sychophanting to them over the lift intercom! Yeah I get it "syuncetizts"! Were all "gene bags", "DNA replication machines", "have no free will", "just biochemical processes", "brain automatons", "nothing but resources", "drones", "insects", "biofodder" yada yada yada. But don't complain! We should all leap and whoop for joy! How dare we wish for something more than such bountiful rich, er..... nothingness! We're the lucky ones! We're the ones curs..... I mean blessed with actually existing unlike the quadrillions who have never had that chance! Is that not so Dawkinses? Atheist BS, antitheist BS, evolution BS, genetic BS, "brayn un beehayvyor" BS, psych BS, neuro BS, philosophic BS, ersatz "syunce friendly spiritual" BS, "Nu meening ov lyf (ie NO meening) BS, enviromentalist BS, leftist BS, pacifist BS, communist BS. This game has the lot in shovel fulls! A very few of you will know exactly what I mean, sympathize, and might even hit the "yes" button under this review. The rest of you "syunce hedz" and "geeks" will just have apoplectic fits smashing the "no" button, phoning their friends to also hit the "no" button, and arrange to click farm the "no" button, and do so with all my other reviews, and hunt out and troll all my forum comments. That's what the spiteful "anti-spiritual" leftist cancel culture brigades do thes days, is it not? Shame because the game is excellent, except a few clunky UI moments, and the awful way the unit design library works!

I haven't actually played it yet, but in fine GoG tradition I'm going to rate it 5 stars anyhow. BUY IT NOW!
