There is a lot of value in this new Ultimate Edition that not only adds 2 story expansions, it also improves the replay value of the game by introducing 3 different looking costumes adding new abilities for Shantae.

As a whole, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition is literally the complete package for fans of the series and genre enthusiasts. It's not the best platformer around, but it is a fun journey, especially with the additional DLC characters. I wish the developer would've embraced the Metroidvania aspects more, gotten more creative with some platforming segments, and included a few more environments for the DLC, but there is not much else I can hold against this truly fun platformer.

Really great game
This game is very good, my less favorite game of the franchise, but it is very good. Runs like Native on Linux.

Outstanding!
Graphics are lovingly hand drawn. Music is awesome, and Shantae is Shantae, meaning that this game is similar in its construction than the other ones before it, but it works, and it is good. Would recommend!

different, but still great
a departure from shantaes usual casual metroidvania gameplay, but still a great time for action platformer fans. a ton of extra content in the deluxe edition too. fun levels to explore for secrets, fun abilities/transformations to unlock, fantastic ost. not much else to say.
