Sensible World of Soccer 96/97

Incredible that 18 years on it can still keep my attention more than Fifa 14 on the PS4. Why oh why wasn't a proper conversion made for the next gen consoles... Nothing will ever beat this game overall - superb!!

Sensible soccer is one of the most important football games of all time, and serves a thick slice of nostalgia to the 30+ age group. We all enjoyed it on the Amiga 500, and Sensible World of Soccer was the first game I am aware of to bring in the football management element. Selling and buying players was the added dimension to a game system that was just down right bloody fun! I am just hoping and praying that somebody somewhere can help come up with some sort of mod that will support joypad support, because it is way to good a game to have this vital aspect overlooked. I'm quite surprised GOG didn't look into this, or perhaps they didn't have the rights. Who knows... Please MODers.....help us!

Awesome soccer GAME!!! One of the best, if not THE BEST, soccer game ever. I used to play it on my AMIGA 1200, had a blast as a teenager at the time. Many national leagues, gives you the opportunity to somewhat manage the team (only the players transfers and with this you can manage your finances), and be a player/manager of the team. For better feel and best game-play you have to have a single button joystick. This game showed how the game-play should be, now the new generations have the ability to have a taste of that. I wish you all to have fun with this amazing game.

Though never as good as the (proper) Amiga version, Sensible World of Soccer remains the best football game on the PC. Why? One word really... pace!

I spent so many hours playing this game on my Amiga, and sorry dudes, it wasnt th 500 but the 600 :) Its the best soccer game ever, and I've been waiting for it to show up here on GOG, and my dude, now its here. Thx GOG for brining back one of the funniest games and best games ever.
