SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS

Game: Great. Port: Not. - Camera takes a while to get used to. - Lacking in settings/options. - Some low quality textures.

I bought this game expecting cheap violence and big tits, and ended up geniunely caring for the girls and their stories, while enjoying the fights. There is no shortage of ecchi here, from different boob sizes, both big and small, different clothing, pantyshots, being able to strip the girls using special attacks, sexual innuendos, boob and ass physics, you get the idea. Some characters are straight up perverts. But that does not shadow it's other features, such as the story. It tells the stories of the ninja girls and how they came to be, what they fight for, and it often touches on subjects of family, friends, good and evil, purpose and determination. It is not super deep, but it did make me stop at some points and think about my own views on these subjects, all the while giving a good amount of personality to the characters, making them feel like real people and not just bouncy boobs. Overall, the gameplay is fun, the combat is simple but allows for many different strategies, especially using different girls. However, most levels are really easy, other than a few endgame ones, but you do unlock a hard mode for them once you beat them once. The music is pretty good, but you won't hear it unless you lower the other volume settings, because there is no shortage of battle sounds and girls screaming during combat. The graphics are ok, not amazing but far from bad. It fits the game's atmosphere pretty well, not much to say about them. My biggest complain is the lack of diversity in the levels, once you complete one school's route, you basically saw everything in terms of level and npc desing, there could've been more variation in this regard. It's not perfect, but its few shortcomings are balanced by a funny and engaging story and characters, good music, and fun gameplay. If you're into cute anime girls fighting one another semi-nude, give this one a try. Also, Katsuragi best girl. Wine compatibility (for me): Flawless, had zero issues. Wine Version: 7.20

The easiest way to describe Senran Kagura for those who know a few hack and slash games is "Dynasty Warriors meets DMC". And its exactly what it is. A lighthearted parody of these type of games and a lot of fun. Its about several school-type institutes where people, girls mostly, are trained to become assassins. And most of these ninjas have boobs larger than their heads. One look at the screenshots should be enough. Anyways, if you know the Dynasty Warriors type of games, then it doesn't require any further explanation (if you don't, think of one person vs an army kinda fighting game). The gameplay is very fast paced and easy to understand, yet has a whole lot of mechanical depth to it, which fans of Bayonetta or DMC may enjoy a lot. The four primary buttons, jump, dash, light attack and heavy attack are basically everything you need to know. Besides these buttons, the player can choose to use the ninja button which unlocks musou attacks, which are basically super attacks that you can chain together to get the combo meter high (combos over 5000 can be easily done). Theres lots of enemies to fight and almost everytime during the many missions you fight the other characters as well. If you don't like the story you can skip it with the press of a button to and get straight into the fighting. While DMC and especially Dynasty Warriors tries to sometimes go towards the "sex sells" route, with means sexualized characters. Senran Kagura, being essentially a parody of those famous games, cranks that up as well. The game uses the boobs as one of its primary selling points. But IMHO the gameplay far outshines anything sexual the game offer. On the other hand, it doesn't include NSFW content. The game is "naughty" but its not porn. Overall, this game gets a glaring recommendation since the gameplay is exactly what people who like the genre enjoy. If you like both Dynasty Warriors and boobs, buy this game at full price ASAP. If you like only either, wait for a discount.

Fantastic Warriors-lite third-person action game. Kinda throws you in, even if you’ve played the other games in the series—it just kind of expects you to know who the new characters are already, my one gripe. That said, the characters are as fun as ever, and the game itself is perfect for bite-size play sessions. Playing this on my AYN Loki Max at 1080p at 8w is perfect, and similar handhelds like the ROG Ally should similarly have no issue running it, with plenty of battery life. And it seems to be compatible with Mods Of Culture™️, too, if you know where to find them. That said: Marvelous/XSEED. Estival Versus, Burst Re:Newal and Peach Ball, please. I need moar full-HD Senran Kagura in the palm of my hands. :)
