The Boretoure

As I played a lot of Pandemic games when I was younger this was a must try. At first I was impressed by The Saboteur, the black and white graphics when going around town where the Nazis presence is strong was one of the good points in the beginning. The main quests as well as the side quests also felt good, expanding on the world of World War 2 Paris. However, the amount of collectibles and Nazi buildings to be destroyed took the fun out of this game. I am one of the guys who usually wants to find everything on a game, here everything popped up on the world map and the you just had to go around destroyng things. After one game session of about 5 hours, where I spent 0 seconds on quests but just went around destroying Nazi buildings I thought to myself. Is this fun ? - The answer was no. If you like World War 2, and to run around destroying hundreds of outposts and listeningposts this game is for you. But if you feel annoyed when doing repetetive things, this game is pretty lackluster.

Crazy anomalies :(

This looks like it could be an enjoyable game, but unfortunately it doesn't work properly. I played the first few missions without any problems, but then after saving the game I tried to come back to it, and it simply didn't work: my view just kept circling around as if I had the mouse permanently jammed over to one side, so the game was unplayable. I tried a whole lot of different settings, but to no avail. Eventually I uninstalled the game and made a clean re-install, deleting all my previous settings, tried to start from the beginning, but again that weird anomaly kicked in, and once I had control of the character, the view just kept circling around as if my mouse was stuck over on one side. This isn't a problem with my computer; I don't experience anything like this in any of the other dozens of games I have installed (from GOG and otherwise), and of course I wouldn't even be able to leave this comment if my mouse and keyboard weren't functioning normally. So there's something wrong with this game, and I'm disappointed.

Disappointed

I heard so many good things about this game so when I saw it was on sale I grabbed it it asap, sadly the game runs poorly on on pc I tried multiple fixes and even running it on the lowest settings but nothing helped. until the game is fixed by EA or a fan made fix comes out I would stay far away from this.

Decent, Flawed, and Fun

The Sabteur is like Mercenaries, GTA, with a sprinkle of Assassins Creed. The storyline is ok. The graghics are decent. The gameplay is a little clunky at times but I've seen worse. You spend most of your time shooting nazis and in car chases than anything. Car chases are easy to out get away from. Just keep driving staraight and youll eventually get away. You can be over run pretty easily if you arent paying attention but can normally fight your way out easily. The game gets 3 stars from me because its fun and would only recommend buying on sale.

Fight for the French Restance with keyboard flaws and bugs

Pros: Great acting. You really feel like your a member of french resistance. The game requires you to play smarter and more stealthy. The city starts as black and white, dull and dismal. As you complete main and side quest, you see a blast a color spread through city area. The cars and music are period specific which adds so much to the immersion. Like any songs, some you'll hate, some are average, some are great. One sung all in frenc,h can really lift you spirits. You get better and better equipment. There is nothing more fun than sneaking between two tank guards, planting a bomb, sneak around a corner, and boom. Sneaking up to a Nazi, stabbing them in the back and calmly walking away. Two in a row is more fun. Climbing up buildings and intro military facilities requires you really think strategically. Watch you alarm rating, you will get overwhelmed quickly. Clear as many towers as you can. It makes escaping easier. Overall, the super hot, smart, and skilled British agent is so much fun to interact with, along with all the others. The company was canceled before the game could get some heat going. Cons: When you blow up bridges, the cut scene doesn't play, leaving an intact bridge over a broken one. The climbing down buildings keyboard makes you fall nearly constantly. The sky boundaries can be corrupted. The stealth function, you put on a Nazi's uniform, is terrible and worthless. If you fix the 'ai.cfg' file, it plays much better. The civilian AI is average, needing more common sense. Link: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/saboteur_1_design_improvements
