RollerCoaster Tycoon® Deluxe

This game is probably one of the best games ever made. The intense financial management is the most complicated of any game I have ever played. The ability to build your own parks and rides makes for some a fun, entertaining, and challenging gameplay, as well as countless memories. The graphics might put some people off, but I find them charming and nostalgic. Chris Sawyer is a genius. This game is a must have for any simulation fan.

I owned this game when it originally came out and it's one of the few games I ALWAYS go back to time and time again! Brilliant learning curve! Awesome resource management and simply the best atmosphere of any game of this sub-genre. Awesome!

Few games reach this level. A simple to grasp game with much play involved. Can run on a half potato. Seriously, this was a low bar game when it came out in 1999. It will just run. Hours of time can be spent fiddling with this and that and you still want to go back and just that one more minute thing kicks in and you are now another 6 hours past the time you were going to quit. Saves are easy and quick. You can go back and retry yet another hair brained idea different than the one you just tried. The lovely graphics need nothing. The animations are exactly what is needed, no more, no less. A stress free no pressure environment without explosions and shooting. Try it for a change of pace if nothing else. Chris Sawyer's ne plus ultra magnum opus.

Well maybe not MOO2, but in all honesty I do get more replayability out of this (better watch for pissed nerds)

I have owned this game for only God knows how long. I have played this game for over a decade and let me tell you, I keep coming back. This game is the first and for-most game in all of the Tycoon genre (this is my opinion!)
