A true setting recreation gem

I would have given this game a five star rating, because the developers truly put their heart into recreating the atmosphere and the world of the original Robocop films (1987-1993). It's at a similiar level to Alien Isolation in terms of capturing the atmosphere and adjusting the gameplay to the gory dystopian setting of the original material. The gunfights are savage and the plotline is excellent, even if a bit long. The big 'however' is its technical design. It's truly abysmall that I could not run it without crashes on a November 2023 gaming laptop build. It's just bad programming and lazy tech QC on an otherwise excellent product. Couple that with no manual saving and you have an explosive mix guaranteed to infuriate your customers. I could forgive this only because I really liked the gameplay and I love Robocop.

RoboGOG pour servir et protéger FreeDRM

Après avoir essayé la démo l'année dernière, pendant laquelle j'avais beaucoup apprécié par le feeling du jeu. L'impression d'être vraiment Robocop Non seulement le jeu propose des gunfight assez plaisantes et violentes, mais plusieurs enquêtes vous demanderont de réfléchir un minimum. Certaines missions secondaires semblent proposer plusieurs fins. Évidemment vos actes auront des conséquences. Edit : je précise que je n'ai jamais été un fan de Robocop, j'avais vu le film à sa sortie, suite à cette aventure, je me suis maté tout les films existants et même fait tous les succès qui sont assez simple. Maintenant plus qu'a attendre que le standalone soit plus abordable.

Great homage to the 80s Robocop

This game is an awesome homage to the 80s robocop, which was my favourite. I love robocop 1 and 2, this game really captures the feeling of being the robocop. You really feel like almost unkillable being robocop and the auto 9 is awesome. Side quests are quite funny too ranging from serious to silly. Of course we listened to the radio and tvs there will be lots of satire too. The only problem with this game is the resource requirement. To be honest the graphics isn't all that great, they could have tuned this game for lower spec and it'll still be fun. Had to tweak the settings manually to get it run okay with a 1060 (yes it's old...but it does run cyberpunk 2077 quite well). All in all, if you are a RoboCop fans, this is the closest we get from a sequel from the first 2 movies, unlike the 3rd and the reboot.

This game nails it!

I'm going to be upfront and say this game is not without its flaws. This is the first game in a long time I've dealt with crashes, particularly on one side mission to assist an officer to rescue a cat; yes, cat rescue is a thing Robocop engages in. Some of the bosses are annoying and easier to cheese then to actually fight in the open. Finally the writing is so-so though it has it's moments. It does have a decent plot with flawed execution of story elements due to the writing where things just happen and you're left scratching your head. Despite all that five stars you say? Gosh darn it yes! This is a game where you will actually choose to walk over sprinting to objectives just because the satisfying thunk of Robo's footsteps captures the essence of the character so well. The fights are frenetic but again this is not a super fast machine, but robocop who does things at robocop pace and this is captured in the encounters really well. There are destructive parts of the environment, explosive elements strewn about, furniture you can grab and toss at enemies, giant trash bins you can pick up and use as cover and the venerable auto-9 which once upgraded beats all the other weapons in the game except for a few like grenade or rocket launcher types. The anthem kicks in during key encounters and damn did that get me pumped up every time. The game's action set pieces are mostly linear but it does a good job of giving you freedom of movement while also not being fully open world in a few areas. You visit downtown Detroit several times at different times of the day and it feels just like the gritty world of the 80s movie. You can roam around to find side mission (though I wish the police ones were called out over dispatch) and issue parking tickets if you choose to. As you do missions you get XP points and upgrade Robo with various abilities. If you love Robocop get this game. If you like old-school action FPS then still get this game :)

Good RoboCop game

It you liked the movies or the TV show you will be right at home. If RoboCop is nothing special it a nice shooter but it needs some polsih
