Linux version seems unstable

This game crashes very easily on me, usually when paused and unattended. The debug trace suggests it's doing really nasty things to libpthread (seriously, when's the last time you saw a game create 68 threads? Even if some of them are overhead from Mono, that sounds like a recipe for a programming nightmare). I also find it gets jerky after you've been playing the same world for a while. That being said, I have gotten a few hours of entertainment out of it, and while it isn't the most brilliant entry in the management sim genre, I think it was worth the sale price I paid for it. I wouldn't have bought it at full price, however.

Just a fantastic business game !

This game really pulled me in. The game play is fun but challenging in career mode. The random events really make it interesting. All kind of events happen like auctions for contracts in cities to build. So much to tell you about I can't. I've only played career mode, but the game includes sandbox with everything unlocked, scenario's etc... I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes games like Open TTD, Railroad Tycoon and Transport Giant. I think this game is ahead of those by a long way, but don't take my word. You can download the demo right here at the great GOG site. The devs are very helpful and really put some time and thinking into the game. This game is a BIG thumbs up !!

Fun game

I love this game and can only imagine how much fun it will be once it's fully developed. I haven't felt this way about a game of this genre since I played OpenTT. There's always something to do and decisions to make in a pleasing environment. I can see faults in the game in it's currrent state, but I can also see those faults being addressed in the RoI Discord community, which in turn makes me believe that the end product will be amazing.

Excellent and good com. from devs

I'm not good at writing long and deep reviews so I'll keep it short : -the gameplay is fun to me, yes some things are missing, the game is not Early access for nothing, plenty to do and learn for now, I stick to easy difficulty mode until I get a better hand at this kind of game -regarding balancing and competition versus ia, it's evolving a lot between patches, during the writing of this review a patch moving in the tech tree a whole lot of building and what they can build at first was being uploaded for example, and it was including suggestions from players -I like a lot the visual look of the game, not finished too but before this game I was playing Industrial Giant 2, and I actually prefer the look of Rise of Industry, but you can see that with the videos and screens -more graphs and options to monitor our business are coming, for now it's not that easy to find financial related problems -The tutorial is short for now but it does the job just fine, the recipe book is not finished yet, a little coumbersome to use for now (what can I do with this or that ?) TLDR : missing components as it is early access, but good communication between players and devs and already great game, you cant wait until it's more finished but I don't regret at all my purchase
