Masterpiece
I'm gonna be clear: Beautiful graphics, even though there were some performance issues at the start. The soundtrack is awesome. When you can listen to the sountrack without playing the game and you still like it, it's because it has the power to move you, without the game. The story may be simple, but you can still cry with it.

Beautiful underrated game!
Thought I left a review, apparently not. Lol. Some find this type of game boring. looking for fast paste action. it's not. There are few games that game that can grab your sense of emotion. This is one Gris is another. Nice relaxion games. Just chill out and enjoy! Oh, you'll need a little beefier rig for this game. So much living environment!

Moving story, solid but simple gameplay
There's a lot to like about RiME. The art looks good and fits well with the story. The soundtrack is excellent, heavy on the violin and cello. Anyone familiar with Lindsey Stirling will recognize the style. RiME is very focused on story, and on creating an experience for the player rather than testing their reflexes. Therefore it's no surprise that the platforming elements are very forgiving. Translation: it's easy. The puzzle and exploration elements are a little more challenging. The control scheme is straighforward and fairly solid. The game clearly indicates what surfaces are climbable and lets you leap about and skirt ledges with ease. No plummeting to your death because you twitched in the wrong direction. The camera has some minor issues. In certain areas the camera swings around to disorienting angles. It doesn't happen often enough to really impact gameplay, but it is noticeable. This is pretty much the only glitchy thing in the game; it's refreshing to see such a bug-free title. The game's story is its best feature, atmospheric and emotional. It's best to avoid spoilers to get the fullest experience. Replay value is moderate. Expert explorers may find all the secrets in one playthrough, but for the merely mortal it may take a couple of tries.

A Masterpiece
In terms of game mechanics the game is not outstanding, it's really good for sure but like other similar games. You will play a 3D platformer where you will be frustrated by not being able to climb every platfomr you see but only those which are supposed to be climbed. You will have many simple puzzles and there is a lot of exploration. The scenery is really beautiful and sometimes even breathtaking enough to make you want to be there just reading a book. The true highlight of this game is the plot, I don't remeber liking a game plot this much, even a film one. It's hard to tell without spoiling (because there is a lot of things happenning in this game) but this is why it is a masterpiece. Everything you see has a meaning, the animals, the scenery, the phases of the game. You will ask yourself so many questions during the play. Why is this tower always there ? Who is this shadow whith the red hood ? Why the phases are so different from one another ? Where am I ? The plot unties itself, telling you more and more about who and where you really are and why. What is the meaning behind the bird, the fox, the walking webcams (Yeah it sounds silly but it's great actually) and where it's from. I really enjoyed this game, it's jumping down your throat with kindness and sorrow at the same time and really made my day in a way
