Beautfil game worth playing.

I got this game for free after buying some other titles several months ago. I'm not a fan of platformers or the logic games, but last week I decided to give it a try out of curiosity. Now I gotta say that it was one of the best video game expieriences I ever had. Beautiful music (!), beautiful graphics and simple, yet interesting and touching story (I've cried at the end, 10/10 lol). Puzzles are quite easy, but fun to do. I didn't encounter any glitches (not even one, seriously) throughout the game so Rime deserves a huge plus for that. The game isn't very long, you can easily finish it in 5 hours (though I wasn't looking for all the secrets and collectibles available) so you won't get bored. This is more than just a video game, you have to try it. You won't regret spending your time with Rime. 10/10. ~V

Solid gameplay and beautiful style but..

The game play is solid, the artistic style is beautiful, the music is moving. It could be argued that it's a simple game, but there will be surprises and there are interesting puzzles and lots of nooks to explore. The only real criticism I can offer is the game is only 5-6 hours unless you're a completionist and feel a need to explore every nook for every secret. The secrets don't appear to affect the outcome (although I am not a completionist and haven't googled to find out if there are alternate endings. And I won't do it only to spoil people by answering that question in my review. So if that matters to you, do a little more research than my review.) The story is told non-verbally, though sounds from the character and surrounding npcs, from the music and scenes. It's a spoiler, but ultimately the game is tragic and heartbreaking. The titles of the five chapters say it all. Perhaps a little pricey when not on sale when there is about 6 hours of regular gameplay. Absolutely worth it when it's on sale.

Ok, now I am depressed...

Decent game. I't didnt 'grab' me though, for some reason. I felt more obligated to see it through to the end than compelled to finish it because of the gameplay. The story helps carry you through though. One of my complaints was issues with framerate. I managed to adjust a few setting though, and had it running at ~60 fps for *most* of the game (a few sections got sluggish for several seconds, but nothing that made it unplayable) 30 usd seems like a lot for this though, after having played it all the way through. I would wait for a sale. kind of reminded me of a mash up of ico and journey, except it was not nearly as good as those titles. if you are looking for a relaxing fairly straight forward story oriented puzzle platformer, this could be it. also, there are a ton of collectables to find in the game, if you are into that. usually I am, but with Rime, I just wanted to be done with it. also, the game made me cry. but i was crying anyway, so, theres that.

Worth It

Fun little puzzle/adventure game. Music and graphics are excellent. Game made me get attached to a sentinel. 10/10

A game with a soul, a voice without word

I fell in love with the experience, the journey, the essence of what this game entailed, what it showed me and in the end, gave me. I was astounded by the games beautiful imagery, music and the great wonder brought by exploration. What was unexpected was the emotional aspect. Making this game a rarity in its own right. I got this game as part of a bundle and didn’t expect anything of it. But shortly after I started playing I became mesmerized. I loved the puzzles and adore this games essence. Superficially, RIME might seem like a game about simple exploration, but within its depths there is more. I found a story, a story without an uttered word. A silent movie if you will. It was a story fueled with wonder, discovery, love and loss. This game is a true experience. It’s creators should feel proud about giving it a soul, and in its silence, a voice.
