Fun fer ever
I remember playing this awesome game in 1998 and it was something very new, with all the sound effects and the music! And it still one of my favorite shooters... So funny and fun!

Sorry but let's be honest here...
This game does have a few bits of good, politically incorrect humor and some of the weapons in teh game are indeed amusing. But other than that this game is largely crap. For starters there are like half a dozen different enemies in the game. You will grow so tired of killing the same guys over and over that you will want to uninstall the game long before you finish it. And the freaking game play itself...the path-finding and A.I. in particular are just inexcusably bad! In short, Duke Nukem 3D was a '5 star' game. The first Blood was a 4 and a half star game(though a case could easily be made for 5 stars). Outlaws was a 3.5 - 4 star game. All of these were FAR better than Redneck Rampage so giving RR more than 2 stars seems absurd to me.

Old but beautiful
Graphically dated but damn if it isn't a great game anyway. I have no idea if anyone today will get the level of joy I got for it but if you enjoy a great game and don't mind older graphics, get it now.

The Soundtrack Alone Worth It
The soundtrack to the first game is astonishingly good. Mojo Nixon and Rev. Horton Heat are among some of the artists. Even with the dated graphics you hear the songs and darn it all if'n ya jus' gotta grab your whiskey and shoot some skeeters' with yer scattergun. The game itself has more humor than the current crop of comedy games. Redneck Rampage screams for a good reboot. Good luck finding music this good these days, though! Ya darn kids, git off'n mah land!
