When you go trick-or-treating, you don't come back 100 percent with candy you love. There's some bleh stuff mixed in, stuff that you put up with to get to the candy you can't wait to eat. That's a perfect analog for Pumpkin Jack. You'll push past parts of it because this mascot platformer has some really great qualities. And, when viewed as a whole, a bucket full of candy ain't so bad.

Pumpkin Jack is a fun and nostalgic title that is perfectly placed to be your Halloween game this year. Highly recommended for any fans of old school platforming adventures, but also worth checking out for the spookier sorts too. It doesn't revolutionise anything, but it also doesn't outstay its welcome, and the fact that it is the work of a solo developer makes it even more impressive. This particular pumpkin deserves to carve out some of your seasonal gaming time.

Dont miss this in the last 6 months of the year, RTX lighting could use some tweaking though

+The graphics are good +The animations are good. +The sounds are good ++The music is excellent +The humor is acceptable. +The story is lame -The gameplay is undeveloped. The jumps are completely unpredictable due to the dynamics and 0 sense of space. -The level design is downright dirty, designed to s_ck the player apart. I would have gladly kicked the creator at the boat part. This is not a game, it's an endlessly annoying piece of g@rbage. 1/10

I love it!
I don't remember the last time I had so much fun with a 3D platformer. Amazing game and look beautiful! love the artstyle! just a few things that bothered me: 1) On the ferry , sometimes when I die and spawn on the boat I insta-die, then respawn and contine as usual. 2) On one of the ghost horseriding parts, FPS dropped to below 5 for a few seconds which made me lose because I crashed into a wall. happened around 5 times until I managed to pass that part. other than this specific part, smooth 144FPS 2560X1440 gameplay. Locking to lower FPS did not solve the problem. (R9, RTX 2080, 32GB RAM) 3) Change to "leave a rating on GOG" or just ask for rating and don't specify the platform. 4) We will highly appreciate achievements here as well. Other than that, I had a blast!
