Needed a sequel

Pro: - They tried something new and created a great Fairytale - The Combat is more of a "one on One" Duel wich looks and feel good - The World is Beautiful - Great Music Con: - The Climbing is very on Rails as well as the Powers - by the End the Combat feels repetetive - The Story ends on a cliffhanger (DLC ends on a Bad note) so no conclusion to the Story. That is the biggest one for me. I want to see this WEorld again and help save it. About the "you cant die" part: You can Fail. If you fall, The girl will save you and put you back. If you get hit to much in a fight, the Girl will save you BUT the Enemy will refill its Livebar. So it just avoids the Loading screens but its the same as Dying in other games. All in all id say its a great Game with cool ideas and for 10 Bucks or less i can EASILY recommend it. It just sucks that we will never finish the Story :(

The casual prince

Brilliant presentation and cel-shaded graphics, fluid motion and combat, a wider perspective of a game world, and a new turn for the PoP series. But that turn is also puzzling as it left behind most of the things fans liked in the original trilogy. The plot is freeing a cursed land from corruption by defeating evil. This Prince went a new direction. It was easier, and dying was rare. It gave players a lot of slack so they didn't die every time they miscalculated a jump. In fact, it told you directly that you were about to die. Lots of fans didn't like this. They wanted more challenge. Combat was also made into a more rhythmic dance of which the prince and his female friend use combos to defeat enemies. And the enemies. There are nowhere near as many as the original trilogy. Enemies were spaced further apart and treated as narrative forwarding rather than straight up having to kill ten or more brutes with time travel powers. Still, the game is stylish and fun for casuals. Hard core types who liked the difficulty of Warrior Within will not find the same challenge here. This is a strange, and forgotten, Prince of Persia, but it does shine in its own unique way.

Unifinished and repetitive

3h into the game: Combat is repetitive, having to gather collectibles (lightseeds) to advance is tedious, wouldn't pay more than 3€ for it, luckily got it at a sale. Feels rushed and unfinished: the immortality mechanic feels like a patch for a poorly crafted user experience, and the lightseed mechanic an artificial way to lazily stretch a short game by reusing the maps.

Allo, y a quelqu'un ?

Vaut peut-être ses deux ou trois étoiles pour son enrobage, mais selon moi surnoté, j'équilibre ! Convaincu par les précedents opus, et notamment L'Âme du Guerrier qui, encore aujourd'hui, me laisse dans les yeux une fascination enfantine, dans l'âme (je ne l'ai jamais terminé), une envie d'en découdre et dans l'échine, un bouquet transi de frissons, j'achetais celui-ci avec les trois autres, sans me renseigner, convaincu d'avance par sa qualité visuelle, confiant, le cœur serein, le vent du large câlinant sans pudeur ma chevelure soyeuse et sensible et bouclée... Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise, en lançant le titre, de me retrouver au milieu de personnages fades, aux répliques moribondes, mis au service d'un scénario plus convenu encore que les précédents et portés par un level disign mou, sans défi ni saveur ! (en comparaison de ses brillants ainés) Quelle souffrance ensuite ne faut-il pas s'infliger pour "laisser sa chance" au vide, courir incessamment après des boules (non, ils n'ont quand même pas pu manquer d'inspiration à ce point, jusqu'au bout ?), espérer que les personnages gagnent en épaisseur, échouer bien entendu, battu le ressac assommant d'un incommensurable ennui, avant de retomber sous windows, s'autoriser le temps de prendre la mesure de sa non-expérience et en conclure, vaincu, qu'une telle absence de créativité n'a pas sa place dans la liste pourtant conséquente des titres vidéoLUDIQUES qui méritent, comme ses prédécesseurs, d'être intallés sur un PC. Non, voilà. C'est tout.
