Adventure Gold
It's really hard to pick a favorite Wadget Eye game... but this might be mine. Wonderful pixel art, an engaging story, and fantastic voice acting make this a modern adventure classic. A post-apocalyptic setting and questions of consciousness abound... if Rustpunk isn't a word, it should be, and it totally describes the aesthetic of this game. (Think Cyberpunk, but after all the humans are long-dead and all the shiny streets and neon lights have given way to corrosion and dust.) I played this back in 2014, and it was my introduction to Wadget Eye as a studio - since then I've become a huge fan and have played the majority of their library. As I see it, Dave Gilbert as his little team are the modern torch-bearers of the genre, and this is some of their best work alongside Shardlight and the Blackwell games.
