One for the powerslide lovers!!
First up, this game is called called 'Powerslide' for a reason. If you're not into power-sliding around a race-track, and want realism over fun. Then you should probably look else-where. For the rest of us, this game is an absolute hoot. Based in a futuristic wasteland, you get to race on some great tracks in some awesome beasty vehicles. Being an old-fashioned game too, you also have charcters that you select as your driver. Some of which have hilarious names (like Dodgy Dave and Hempgirl, to name a couple). In terms of visuals, this game has held up pretty well over the years, and actually filled my widescreen display and runs at a silky smooth frame-rate. I am yet to test the game with a gamepad, but I find it easy enough to play it with the directional-arrow keys, as that's how I played it back in the day. I feel that this game was so underrated in it's time, and couldn't have been happier to see it appear on gog this week. I will be spending many more hours enjoying this game.
