POSTAL: Brain Damaged

The game runs smoothly on my system, and I'm ok with the deliberately chunky lo-res art style. But the lack of resources kills the game. Unlike Doom Eternal, where the player carries low amounts of ammo but could replunish ammo with glory kills, this game has extremly rare ammo pickups. And, as far as I have gotten, you can't refill ammo with anything but an ammo pickup. Running through a level with nothing but shovel/chainsaw, a kick, and the Postal Dude's ability to pee on command is just death after death. Starting a combat arena, ala Doom Eternal, with nothing but 20 pistol rounds, 10 shotgun shells, maybe a couple of brains in a jar or a grenade with no way to refill any of it? Not fun. Not hardcore. Just a lack of level balance. Why make a 'boomer shooter' when you don't give the player any ammo to shoot? Health isn't as bad. There are health pickups and an inventory system so you can choose when to use the pickup.

i was looking forward to love this game since it's postal done in a boomer shooter style which it couldn't possibly go wrong but boy was i wrong. bizzare fps dips from 80-90 down to 60's occasion running on a rx 6600, most guns feel weak and have little to no impact (the double barrel is a complete joke in this game) another issue is the lack of resources, ammo and health drops are rarity in this game which for a game that labels itself as a boomer shooter shouldn't be a thing, can't count the amout of times ive been in situations where i had little to no ammo in every weapon and had to deal with 10 enemies on screen while on low health only on the medium difficulty, yaaay how fun for a boomer shooter. this game could have been good if the devs actually made the weapons feel powerful and good to shoot and if ammo pickups were more common placed. shame.

Colorful but empty and uninspired.

Game has horrible framerate, controls, artstyle and is just terribly made. But overall the game is not horrible just not to my taste.

Politics in game. 2 Bad. Sure GOG will take my review down like they like to do.
