Awesome game, despite it's age

An absolutely awesome game, I played the original version and now the remaster, the only thing that's a bit annoying are the controls and you have to use external tools for button remapping, but still a great game, especially considering it's age. I'm happy that there is now an easy way of playing this game, I never got the original version working on windows 10

Elaborate Story, great gameplay

I bought this game in 1999, when it was first released in germany. It had a very promising beginning, but didn't run smoothly enough on my AMD K2-350 MHz to play well. In 2002, after working through Neverwinter Night's campaign, I gave it another try. WOW! While you have to get used to the voxel grahics at first, I still remember my impression of how immersing this game was. A thrilling story with its twists and surprises, a bitter, laconic hero (in german with the synchro voice of Bruce Willis, perfect!), a gameworld to roam and wonder, and after all this time still one of my favourite soundtracks. In comparison, mEss Effect, which I tried some weeks ago, is just boring.

Ingenious classic!

This is the first game I bough many years ago. I remember playing demo over and over again until I could not but buy it. And it was really worth it! It is definitely one of the best games I have ever played. Graphics were great.. nowadays it may not seem so great. Voice-acting was unbelievable.. like hollywood movie not a game Music was incredible.. played by moskow orchestra (if my memory serves me well) it is a masterpiece not very often seen in games Story is deep and intriguing with strong characters and twists! Summary - buy it now and thank me later:)

No Doubt

I also played this game when it was first released and, like everyone who has commented so far, I was also blown away. I used to work traveling, so I lost the game somewhere and never got to finish it, but it Looks like I'll get a chance to finish it now. The coolest memory I have about this game was how stoked I was to see the bad guys trying to avoid your shots by taking cover or ducking out of the way. I had never seen that in a game before. There's no doubt I'll buy this game once I'm done with the other games I bought recently.

The Best bar none.

You can fall in love with this game very easily.Its not for tech heads, graffix freaks etc. Its a story, nay an adventure set to a wonderful score.By the end of which you'll be shedding a tear. My current rig is decent and will play anything you care to throw at it but there's no beating the immersive, emotional attraction that Outcast conjures up. For $6 you owe it to yourself to give this game a try. OK it does have a few glitches but like a small scar on a beautiful womans face it just adds to the character. But don't worry, the positives far outweigh the negatives and once you've dipped your toe into the world of Adelpha you'll be hooked...praise the Yods. It must be noted that GOG did a great job of making the game playable on current machines.Previously it was literally impossible to play because the game is CPU dependant, but faster chips, then dual and quad cores caused it all sorts of problems.
