You should give it a try

This was definitely a good experience. Pros: - Looks great, very colorful and smooth animation as octodad wiggles around. - Good voice acting and funny dialog. Alot of indie game references as well that I found amusing. - Fun game play. Frustrating is the intention, just have fun with it. Cons: - Short. I beat it in less than 2 hours. I will go back and try to beat the challenged times on each level, as well as find all of the hidden neck ties. But if you aren't into getting extras, this game will be done in about 2 hours. - Near the end of the game there is a section where you cannot be seen by people at all. One part in particular was poorly designed. Overall the gameplay had few flaws though. The original octodad game is available for download for free. Try that if you just want an idea of the gameplay. I would recommend getting this game though, it's very well done.

Hillariously Hard

Octodad is a fun little experience where you try to act like a human using awkward controls and real physics. You get tangled up, stick to objects and get yourself into some genuinely funny experiences just trying to get through each chapter. If you want to have a good laugh with a small group of friends, this is a game to pick up.

Really funny game.

-Doing simple tasks like chopping woods or mowing lawner is much more funnier than in real life. - There is a local coop. Your friends can control legs or arms. - Xbox controller support. Did not try just saw in settings. - Funny lines from bystanders when you cannot properly control your character. - Stylish graphic with AA and physics. - Nice voice acting of your main character. :D - Crazy but simple story. - There are hidden ties as achievement. - Funny intro song. It is in trailer Better to play with friends.

An excellent diversion for one afternoon

It's not a deep game, but it's hilarious. The writing is incredibly witty, with better voice acting than in most AAA games. I had a great time with it. I only deducted one star because I feel that less than three hours of gameplay for the main story is too short to justify the price. However, if you plan to take advantage of the game's multiple gameplay modes, then it's definitely worth it. This game is best played with friends. Not only because of the novel multiplayer mode, but also because of the great laughs you'll have while performing mundane tasks like cooking and shopping.

Great fun, no major issues

The game is not that deep but for what it is, it's great fun. The presentation is very polished and the control system has been designed well. The concept is original and is well executed. The lack of a save function was not a problem for me as there are quite a few checkpoints in each level. The only issue I found was that sometimes the camera did not give me a good view of whatever I wanted to look at, and although you do have some manual control over the camera, it's quite limited. The gameplay is very task oriented and none of the problems are really difficult to solve. My nine year old daughter loves playing this game; the controls took a bit of getting used to but the game retains her interest and she loves the way Octodad moves. The game is not very long but my daughter has no problem with playing it over again. Replay value for adults might be somewhat limited. I haven't tried co-op so I can't comment on that. All in all, good value and good fun!
