NEED A LOOOT OF MAINTENANCE

Bought this to play with my girlfriend online because its our favorite game but we were tremendously disappointed. We choosed GOG because we wanted trust. But be wasn't able to play not even 5 minutes... the servers are extremly laggy. Creation of private rooms are not working, we only could enter a room creating in public mode, and even with that we had to make like 10 attemps to enter the room. and when we finally be able to play the game runs at 5fps, with constant disconnections. i dont get the point of buying this now because after that we went to a free games pages where we played Metal Slug 3 with 0 lag, loooot of better graphics (because this one looks like ps1 AV port) and with extremly easy room creating system. anyways, if anyone wants to buy this game for online, DONT DO IT. if you just want to play singleplayer its ok.

Good game bad port

This is a great game however this "port" is awful. The game runs like garbage, it is not even a native port - it is emulation of the arcade version. Sad that it runs better on community emulators than on the official one. Better yet, they could've ported the superior Playstation version instead.

‘Metal Slug’ dialled up to twelve!

Just when you thought ‘Metal Slug’ could not get more outrageous after ‘Metal Slug 2’/’Metal Slug X’, SNK dialed it up to twelve with ‘Metal Slug 3’. On top of the four returning playable characters from ‘2’ and ‘X’, this game featured new weapons and vehicles/Slugs. You thought a camel with a mounted cannon in ‘2’ and ‘X’ was wild, how about an elephant, an ostrich, a submarine, a spaceship, and a drilling machine? Yeah! Yet, what really distinguished ‘Metal Slug 3’ from its predecessors was the introduction of alternate routes, which made this game highly replayable. Again, just when you thought the final battle against alien threat in ‘2’ and ‘X’ was surprising and thrilling, wait till you get a load of this game’s final mission! It’s not just epic…it’s absolutely bonkers! ‘Metal Slug 3’ is a must-buy for any fan of the series.

net play + leaderboards = ❤️

My favorite in the serires. Intense, full packaged with action, pretty long as for arcade specific title, have multiple ways to choose from. It's funny in a many places too. Very solid game in the series. It is kind of tricky to get working right without preformence drop. All you have to do is set up your resolution - set it high if you wish play sceenwide or set it low if you want to play among other apps. Do not turn full screen feature when you have set full hd res because THAT will cause preformence drop. Other than that - it is fantastic. I will ask my friends to play Metal Slug 3 with me, I will gift them this game. Net play is enjoyment in itself - as you might know of it.

My son Loved it

The two player experience is a bit rough on the edges, when two players have auto shoot, the game port lags on fps. Other than that I have no complaints should have been 4/5 if I had no problems with it. But my kid loved it so much. he's been watching vids about Metal Slug since he was 2, so I decided to buy this game during COVID even if we only have a few months of cash just for my kid who likes wargames specially tanks, we played it enough since he was 3yrs old, We still play it once in a while, he's 5 now. Im not a fan of the genre so its a 3/5 for me.
