Still a Great Game
Metal Gear still plays surpisingly well today for a game of its age, however, It can be very cryptic and I would classify it as a guide game for the the last quarter of it.

Classic played for the first time
I am a huge fan of the Solid series. Really enjoy classic games as well. This is like metroidvania simon's quest with modern military setting as the background. Fantastic.

What a great game!
I never played Metal Gear and liking the look of MSX games in general I decided to buy this port that GOG offered and boy I loved every moment of it! The stealth itselt is intense and the puzzles are fun to solve. There isn't a time in the game where I ever got bored of. It has some moments of frustration but its overall a great game! This port isn't perfect but its enough to enjoy the original in some form

Way better than NES Metal Gear
I only played the NES Metal Gear growing up. Playing this felt like playing Metal Gear Sold, just with 8-bit graphics. It's fun and surprisingly intuative. It only had a couple of puzzles/obstacles that felt unfair, but nothing that I can't forgive. Great all around!
