A very underrated and misunderstood game
Pacific Assault deserves far more credit than it got, I thought was mostly an improvement over Allied Assault for things like: Your character can now carry 2 weapons which is more realistic, AA was insane you can carry all the guns available is he a human or a truck? Enemies are no longer insanely accurate as they were in AA. You can now lean and prone which is very helpful, it always annoyed me that in AA enemies could go prone but you couldn't? Iron sights have been included meaning that you have aim now and no longer run and gun with perfect accuracy. The game also has a lot more emphasis on teamwork and tactics instead of running and gunning. Medkits are much more rare and you have to rely on your corpsman to heal you but only a few times until the next level. And best of all you can pick up enemy weapons (thank God!) Now I'm not trying hate on Allied Assault it's still a great game but it does have some problems that people either don't remember or don't talk about them. It sucks that everyone just simply ignore how Pacific Assault improves the faults of AA and instead focus on the game's problems.
