Description

Nostalgia to the max!
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a fantastic WWII FPS from 2002 that runs great on modern hardware and will transport you back to your youth, when you had much more time to play games! The missions are varied and interesting, and the game does not outstay its welcome. Make sure to get a mod for widescreen support and improved graphics, and then you will be set for a few enjoyable hours of Wermacht destruction! Omaha Beach is a tough level, but stick to cover and move slowly up the beach. Medics can heal you, so look out for them if you're running low on health. Once you've crossed the minefield and made it to the trench that leads to the MG emplacements, things will get easier.

Just as I remember it.
So a lot of my attachment to this game is nostalgia. But after playing it more recently, the game holds up pretty well. The graphics are of course dated, but the sound and voice acting is pretty good. There are some texture packs/mods you can download to help with the outdated graphics. The game also allows for some .ini tweaks that let the game run at some pretty high resolutions and aspect ratios.

Rare gem!!!
I remember playing this back in my childhood. It was a blast, awesome singleplayer campaign and fun Multiplayer... played also with custom maps. Even now getting back to this game feels good. Really well made game, at least for that time.

Still holds up!
I remember years ago not having a PC good enough to play this, the frame rate would drop to about 5 FPS and I could get through about half of the campaign before it would pack in completely. And since I've gone back plenty of times to finish it every 5 years or so.
