Best 4X Outer Space Empire Game
If I was stranded on a deserted island and could play one game - it would be Master of Orion 2.

An All-Time Favorite
MOO was probably the first game I bought that I became obsessed with playing. There were many nights when I'd say to myself, "Just one more hour", and then look up to see that dawn was breaking outside the window. To say this is a great 4X game is an understatement. It is so engrossing and satisfying that it deserves the pedestal that it is put upon. There have been games that have arrived onto the scene since (namely Gal Civ) but this is the one that started the ball rolling. Very, very glad to see this up on GoG and happy to own it again. See you at 6am.

Great game but just DOSbox -_-
Its so far the best X4 game ever created in the world, i totaly love this game. But sinc ei have Windows 7 64bit i could only get it run on Virtual Mashine software or the Ugly looking DOSbox. So i bought it here hoping for a better release just to find out they sell here DOSboy, a freeware you can download free on the web, i really feel like i want my mone back.

a recurring classic
Master of Orion II is one of the classic that continually return, at most every 2-3 years i replay it for tens of ours. I never tried the first, and not appreciated the third (except for the background) but the second of the series is and always will be a classic!

Still relevant
Fast approaching a decade old these games are still among the top of my gaming list. While Stardock's Galactic Civilization I&II are good games in their own right they don't hold a candle to the MOO universe. A must play for anyone who enjoys 4x4 strategy.
