Machinarium Collector's Edition
Description
Machinarium is our first full-length adventure game in which players take on the role of a robot who has been exiled to the scrap heap. You must use logic, collect important items, and solve environmental puzzles to get the robot back into the city of Machinarium so he can rescue his robot girlfriend, save the head of the city, and defeat the bad guys from the Black Cap Brotherhood.
Machinarium is a prime example of why point ‘n’ click adventure games are not dead. It was created by people who clearly love the genre with aim to deliver a top-notch entertainment for all those gamers who really miss the magical world of adventure games. And boy did the developers deliver! Every element--even the smallest ones--are crafted with exceptional care and polish by people who clearly knew what they were doing and loved it. Fun, charming and unforgettable!
Machinarium is full of charm! No words spoken and yet so much is said. Its art style is gorgeous. It's always a treat to see what the next screen is going to bring and what kind of robot is going to come up next. The puzzles are fun to solve and it left me smiling through and through. Story is a simple but endearing one with the backstory being brought to life through animated thought bubbles. Buy this game! You wont regret it.

This is an awesome game!
I didn't know what to think at first, the description and the reviews talk about some of the great classic adventure games. Whilst Machinarium doesn't hit the heights of Broken Sword, or other LucasArts titles it hits otherheights that are equally as rewarding but in a different way. The humour is right up my street and the graphics are superb along with the imagination of idea and it's execution. It is kind of a cross between a good adventure story and a great puzzler, with a dash of LucasArts style humour thrown in for good measure! On more than one occasion i have almost squealed with laughter when the character does something, and it is very satisfying when you complete a puzzle, especially when it has taken a while to figure out. All in all, a great game, thoroughly enjoyed and i really hope we get a Machinarium 2!

I am 53, and there is very little good to be said about being 53 except that you can recognize class when you see it, and Machinarium is pure class.
