A lovely, epic game
This game was revolutionary in every way (pun intended). The context-sensitive commands system(you right click on an object and depending on the object and the the state of the game, you can act on it), the fact that creatures seemingly live their lives independently of your actions and the fantasy setting coupled with an interesting plot made it shine for me.

Waste of time
TL;DR - I have played much more limited adventures way older than this that were a lot more fun, better written and had a functioning interface. This game is all about wasted potential. Lots of great ideas, horrible implementation. Making the town less static by having people run around is cool, if it wouldn't mean you in turn have to run around and search for that one guy that triggers the next scene. Same goes for the partner feature, in theory giving your ingame buddy some instruction would be cool - but it's just seldom used and rather clunky. Horrid pathfinding and other characters constantly blocking your way doesn't help. The game seems glitchy too, with people getting stuck in screen transitions and "sound" that feels more like a broken file rather than music (there are some proper tracks in the game though). Finally, story, characters and puzzles are forgettable and there is very little flow as you keep wandering aimlessly hoping to find that dialogue-line that triggers any form of advancement. The games strongest point is the very pretty pixelart, if you are into that cliched eighties power-metal kind of thing. Apart from that, a complete waste of time and no, being free doesn't make it any better.

An important but boring game
This game is the first to use the virtual theatre engine, and is therefore the first game to have NPCs that move around about their business in a relatively realistic manner. This makes the game important in the evolution of adventure games and even video games in general. Unfortunately this game has it’s issues. It has quite possibly the worst audio ever. The interface is often awkward to use and NPCs get in your way. The worst part about this game however is it’s story. It is extremely basic and clichéd, if it wasn’t an adventure game it could get away with this, but in an adventure game the story is absolutely crucial.

From old days
I hade this game on my Atari ST. Then it was top of the line in adventure games. It's still fun to play and become nostalgic. At the time the graphic was realy good and the point and click interface nice. So travel back to the old days and have some fun :)

Nostalgic fun
This game is pretty good for it's age and genre. The story, while not deep, is interesting enough to keep you questing to the next part. If you like old adventure games this is worth a play. I enjoyed it. Of course there are some minor flaws. Save often, as my game locked up at least 5 times during a dialogue. The title doesn't seem to fit the game either. It was probably just to sell the game to hormonal teens :).
