Loom a short review.
Wow what a trip down memory lane. One of the games few draw backs was that it never got a sequel. Yes the game runs for about 2 to 3 hours depending on how good your ears are. (on the harder settings) but for the price of just over $2.00 australian dollars on discount.... magic.

Un chef d'oeuvre de poésie
Un jeu à part dans tous les jeux Lucas qui, grâce à sa grande inspiration du Lac des Cygnes, nous délivre une oeuvre hors du commun dans son univers et sa jouabilité basée sur des notes de musique. En plus de pouvoir faire découvrir Tchaïkovsky à d'éventuelles personnes, la musique nous transporte au fil d'un conte merveilleux. Pour cette version CD, il aurait été toutefois judicieux d'utiliser de vrais enregistrements du Lac des Cygnes pour encore plus d'immersion.

Loom Is A Hybrid!
Yes, it's mainly a point-and-click adventure, but in its own way it throws in some role-playing elements that are so subtle it surprises you! You see, all spells carried out by your character are done by his staff through musical notes. So as you complete tasks, experiment, sometimes on your own without help from in-game characters, and come up with a combination of notes that create a new spell, notes are added to your staff, sort of like levelling up, gaining better attributes, as in a traditional role-playing game! On the graphic side, the adventure is captivating, almost mesmerizing, when combined with the whole idea behind the game. There is humor, although somewhat macabre. Loom is just downright fun to play! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I imagine a video to be worth much more. Beautiful, but Disconnected
This Point-and-Click Adventure is gorgeous, especially in the first area, and while the musical element seems intimidating at first, you really don't need to be smart at music to play it. It is on the shorter side, and the puzzles are fairly easy, for the most part, but I don't think that's really a problem. Its only real flaw is that the story is a little all over the place, and it just... ends. This is why you don't plan for a game to be a trilogy ahead of time.
