Nostalgia trip

An absolute joy, albeit some minigames can be frustrating at times. There are trainers online if you really don't wanna put in the effort though.

Meh game with an underrated soundtrack!

I remember renting the censored version for the PS2 back when renting was "in" though I never got around to beating the game til recently; I bought the uncensored version here some years back, and while the game was really cliché and made my eyes roll so many times; the minigames got boring real quick and the story is painfully rife with stereotypes, but what I enjoyed the most was the MUSIC! From the bright and upbeat song of Plaid Mart making the "Crappy Streets" a little more bearable, to the house and breakbeat tracks that set the tone for conversation (with Ione) in Spartacus, I probably spent more time listening to and recording songs of the game than actually playing it. The music was THAT good for for me. While digging through the game files, trying to figure out a way to extract the soundtrack, I not only found ALL of the music and ambience tracks of the game, but I found a way to extract them too! This was fantastic as I wanted to get the aforementioned music from Spartacus, but there was no way to record it during gameplay, as it plays during a conversation minigame, but thanks to a program called AFS-Manager I found on Github: https://github.com/MatrixDJ96/DBZBT3/releases/tag/AFS-Manager, I was able to extract and convert all the audio files from AFS to adx, which then can be read, played, and converted by Audacity. I'll explain how to do so down below. First download AFS-Manager from Github using the link above, run the program and choose open underneath File, then browse the game directory, click on Data folder, then Audio, CRI, and then click on the adx file to open it in AFS-Manager, that's where ALL the audio files in the game reside. The program will then ask you to let it fix the files, select yes and then after it finishes, click on Tools then AFS, followed by export to folder, where you'll choose where to have all the files extracted, and you're done! All the audio files are there for you to listen to and enjoy like I did!

I totally used a pick up line from this game... and... it worked! Haha! But seriously, this isn't a bad game. Back when it was on the shelves in game stores, the game didn't look too interesting to me, especially since I didn't have the money to buy the game, and I was two to three years too young to buy the game anyway so it wasn't going into my gaming console considering the cover and title alone. But, fortunately GOG (the only online vendor that I know of that has this game) sells this game! But really, I did use a pick-up line from this game and it worked. Maybe if you're a guy whose not too good with speaking to the ladies, buy this game and absorb the lines of the pick-up line meister.

Sex, Alcohol and Cheesy Dialogue

All of the above mentioned are masterfully blended into a piece of art that defines the lazy, crazy and drunk college frat house generation. This is honestly such a great game. Extemely fun. Super creative dialogue. Just try it!

An absolutely average game...

I enjoyed to an extent the Leisure Suit Larry franchise and actually this game isn't as bad as many people let on, but there are three things that keep this game from being actually great. First, it's not an adventure game. I read that it was made to be as a game to appeal to younger people and that's fine, but that didn't wash well with some people. This game is actually not bad though, the game play and arcade sequences are fun and you want to see what happens next. Second, the number of farts in this game is criminal. It's like taking habanero peppers and crushing them all over a piece of pizza to the point where you can't taste anything else. In the course of a game, a fart can work, but your character already has intestinal problems and when you hunt for coins, miss by one pixel and he farts, move one pixel the wrong direction and... another fart. After a dozen or so times, you've had enough! The third is that there are way too many references to the male organ. One game has you shoot a guy's private parts with a camera, another has a shop that supposedly is for men who have large genitals but the biggest offense is that Larry uses every opportunity possible to get naked. Drink too much? Benny Hill theme starts playing, and he's naked, this is not funny when you've had that happen 6 or 7 times already. This game repeats stuff constantly. The fountain is all made of, you guessed it, that part.... Most people who play this are looking for the babes. The good news is there are some good nudes and you can unlock all the characters naked and one ending featuring the cheerleader is the best! I feel they missed on the metal girl though (more of that Larry nudity that exactly no one asked for!) All in all, this game is 50% good and 50% garbage, and that averages out to an absolutely average game that you should give a chance to but just expect it's going to be average. TL;DR: If I could describe this game in two words, both would be "so", the game is so-so.
