LEGO® Bricktales

J'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à jouer avec mon petit personnage en lego. Quelques prises de têtes pour accéder à certains endroits mais rien de rédhibitoire et c'est satisfaisant lorsque l'on y arrive. La musique est plutôt sympathique et agréable ; ma préférée est celle des pirates. Le gameplay est assez simple et donc adapté à tous les âges. Cependant j'ai eu des crashs du jeu dans le mode "construction", très très gênant surtout quand on arrive à la fin de sa construction. Il est également impossible de sauvegarder quand nous le souhaitons. Son prix me semble quand même élevé pour ce qu'il propose dans sa globalité, attendre une légère promotion - à mon sens. Ce jeu est relaxant alors n'hésitez pas à y jouer.

I thoroughly enjoyed the journey back to my childhood, playing with virtual LEGO bricks. The game is divided into five stages (with some side quests), and as you progress, you're tasked with building various objects to move forward. However, there are a couple of downsides. Firstly, the camera, which rotates automatically, can be frustrating. It often causes you to miss walkable paths or objects you need to collect. Secondly, the puzzles themselves lack variety. The majority of objects you end up building are bridges. Honestly, it feels a bit repetitive and uninspired. Didn’t the creators have the imagination to design more diverse puzzles to keep the player engaged? I feel like anyone, myself included, could come up with more creative challenges to maintain interest throughout the game. PS: And that pirate tower at the end of the game? It’s got some serious glitches—even when you build it correctly.

Get this out of the way first: The great TT games combined whimsy, creativity, and storytelling in a knowingly Lego universe. This is not that. There's some clever storytelling (even though every intelligent and interesting character is predictably female and the morons are predictably male); there's funny if sometimes labored dialogue; there's gameplay; and, differently from TT games, standalone opportunities to build through puzzles creatively. That's the upside to this game: It's no Lego Universe or Lego Worlds, but the opportunity to actually build something different (and after creative unlock, colorfully) is the real point of departure for games like this. If you/your kid enjoy Lego building, this is a game worth buying (though maybe on a slight discount). Downsides: Not a very robust storyline; humor moments break down as predictably as a 90s/00s sitcom (the girls are interesting, wise, and knowing, the boys kinda dim and mostly there for physical humor), and the camera angles/movement are not much better than a PS2-era game. Upsides: Clever puzzles; a chance to build creatively (and moreso once the puzzle is complete); decent dialogue; fun little moments for kids. Overall, five stars because if you take it for what it is, it's that good. If you're looking for some of the truly great Lego games of times past, maybe only buy this on a steep discount.

Love everything about the game except the fixed camera position while in free roam mode and the inability to carry all skills with me at all times.

Only problem is that positioning bricks for the builds can be a bit fiddly. Despite that, it's a lot of fun, especially if you're a Brik Head.
