Great game, DOESNT WORK ON MODERN SYSTEM
I have tried every fix suggestion both official and from Reddit, Steam, etc. and nothing works. This game and its sequel simply do not play on modern systems.

Great oldchool RPG
Real "back to the past" in a positive way. Great oldschool dungeon crawler with quite nice graphics. Probably recommended for a bit older players who enjoyed all classic RPG games like PC Eye of the Beholder series or Amiga Black Crypy. After few hours of playing I am giving it 5 stars.

Great game with good retro feeling !
Picked up this game to do a Let's Play of it in French. The game is really good and entertaining, quite easy to pick up, honestly. The combat is easy when you're 1 on 1 but it quickly gets a lot harder when there are more enemies. It's visually beautiful, both technically and in style. I've really no complain about Legend of Grimrock. It's great value for the price, especially if you pre-ordered it. I'll recommend it and I hope to see more games like this in the future.

Few Glitches Aside, Good Game
When I say glitches, I don't mean of the graphical sort. Being a programmer, I was interested in seeing how their pathfinding was implemented. Turns out, if you give monsters paths of equal length, they can actually get stuck quite a bit. They also can't strafe (walk side to side) so that makes combat a lot easier. That said, I just died against four skeletons pinning me in a corner. That sucked, but it's fun nonetheless. The graphics are good, but I'm surprised it's chugging on my laptop. Perhaps spending a little more time optimizing the game would have been worthwhile, but even at medium graphics the game still looks quite good, so I can't really complain. I'm not sure how the later puzzles get, but so far all the puzzles have practically given me the solution. There have been no real mind-bending puzzles yet, but I don't mind. Overall, the core gameplay is well-designed, the game looks and feels nice and the score is, in my opinion, unique and engaging. Definitely worth a recommendation.

Very good especially using nvida 3d.
This is a fantastic game it is even better when using nvida 3d glasses. But i wish the map was on screen al the time.
