Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2
Description
400 years have passed since the vampire Kain damned the world in the original Blood Omen, choosing to rule the world in damnation rather than die for its salvation. Now Kain, who once controlled the land of Nosgoth with his vampire armies, finds his brethren slain and his dark powers stripped by a mysterious figure. To reclaim his rule and exact his vengeance, Kain must dispatch armies of zealot soldiers and overcome legions of demons in order to uncover the ominous plot that threatens the land he seeks to conquer.
Blood Omen 2, the second instalment in the Legacy of Kain Series, is a 3rd person 3D action/combat game in which you assume the role of the vampire Kain. A compelling story takes you through huge, lushly detailed 3D environments and challenges your skills in combat, puzzle solving, stealth and exploration. With each success, you’ll gain new dark gifts that will grant Kain the ability to access treacherous new areas to explore and the power to face stronger, more aggressive enemies. GREAT GAME, EVEN IF NOT UP TO PAR WITH THE REST OF THE SERIES. THANK U GOG, BUT PLEASE ALSO BRING BLOOD OMEN: LEGACY OF KAIN.

Be warned: unplayable without gamepad
I even got this version to work under Windows 10 64 BIT with the help of dgvoodoo. The presentation is old but nice. The game has a good voice acting and the sound is remarkable. I like the cartoonish animation style of this middle age like vampire world. I could only play this game until the first main adversary. The normal enemies in the game weren't a problem. Usually I am good enough to beat games with keypad and mouse, but not this console port. I tried it again and again and got knots in the fingers. I wished, there would be warnings of unplayability on the products to be able to skip such titles. Lost time and money. I am not willing to buy a gamepad for a few game titles because I don't want to have additional periphery for my pc which collects dust at home. My review is for the people who aren't gamepad acrobats like me.

Absolute garbage
This game is bad, really bad, I'd heard it was the worst of the series, but I didn't imagine it was this bad First of all, if you want to submit yourself to this torture you'll need Xidi's patch to make the game compatible with modern gamepads and Pexioto's patch to fix everything else (yes, even to make it run on win10) But now let me tell you why you should avoid this one: - The story is a mess, it takes a leap in time that leaves it hanging in the middle of nowhere - The graphics are bad, it looks like a ps1 game with a coat of cheap paint in order to release it on ps2, it looks worse than soul reaver 2 which launched a year prior, the same goes for the animations - And the gameplay, let me tell you, soul reaver 1 had better mechanics, the combat feels like trying to steer a car with your buttocks, as an example, enemies can do things that you can't like jumping backwards and duck to avoid attacks, do heavy attacks and unblockable attack. And good luck avoiding attacks, dodging is so broken that when you try to do it enemies always get a free hit on you, soul reaver 1 was clunky to control, but it was a ps1 game, back when dualshock was just a fever dream of some japanese engineer, the fact that this game controls even worse is unexcusable I had to struggle with myself in order to play this one, "Do it for Defiance, Defiance is good" If you want to play this one for the story, just read the plot summary on wikipedia or something, not even the sweet voice acting of Simon Templeman could save this game

I played the game long ago - avoid it, it's nothing like the original. Where is the original Blood Omen 1 from GoG? :(
