Blimey. This hits HARD.

Played a fair share of AVN's & i went into this completely blind. Not just AVN's, i can't remember the last time any game hit me this hard. I never thought i'd be the type of person to somewhat fall for a video game charcter but that's what happened & when a certain thing happened in the story to that character, it totally messed me up (badly) & brought back a lot of personal issues from my past that i thought i had a handle on... obviously not. I would personally advise anyone that deals with deep issues to perhaps play something different or in the least, brace yourself & skip the triggering scenes when asked.. stupidly i didn't. It's kind of crazy what media can do to us at times. Personally, i came away from this AVN not feeling too great but that is likely, mostly down to my own issues. That particular scene hit me so hard that i couldn't really recover from it, even when i was sort of meant to. It's crazy to say this but i felt a great deal of loss at the end of the game & that despite playing it over only a few days, i'm completely gutted by the fact the character Cece is not real, is not mine & her story is done. I'll only ever see the same 10 or so hours of her character & story. I can't beleive i got so attached to a character & so quickly. Although i've only played the Cece story, I think it's going to be a while before i can return to this & try other characters routes. It could take me weeks to recover from playing this, months before i want to try it again & i'll need to fill that time with far less intense & more light-hearted games. I've given it 4 stars as the models & enviroments aren't great at times, there's a bunch of music missing & whilst i know it's meant to be hard hitting, the Cece route could maybe have done with a couple more sex scenes &/or a couple more scenes that were less intense.

Amazing in every way

I can honestly say... "Here for the plot." Don't let the graphic s e x scenes keep you from experiencing this masterpiece.

OMG.. SO Hilarious, but so damn true!

I am stretching from jr. high through university, then military.. ALL of this is so freaking hilarious, yet so true. I am only halfway through (I think.. chapter 4, and I think there are 8), but each and every part of it, I can relate to (except the Hollywood/popularity part). It is almost a shame that lots of the emotions are spread out through several actors (NPCs).. but I guess it is a good way to include it from all angles. I also respect that it is not sex after every other scene, like most of the VNs (visual Novels).. as a matter of fact, it is challenging to even get that far, which is a bit more realistic. (For the pervs, I can picture huge, exploding blue-balls.....). I can actually see lots of the emotions that I had gone through with a very similar situation. The biggest difference in my case, is that there was no humor or sense of humor involved. This adds the necessary sense of humor needed to at least attempt to prevent me from accomplishing what Cece wanted to finish, at the beginning, so The whole story can get to a personal level (which is positive in that way). Anyway, we need more stories like this. Thank you, and don't stop your stories... just the closeness of my own lifetime stories, makes it appear that much of what you released in this "novel", may be at lease, partially true.l

big feels skin deep

Pretty good AVN, definitely seen worse. Good enough for me to collect all the scenes and do some alternate paths to conclusions for alternative versions. As other reviews have stated, this one does not shy away from heavy topics. Every character struggles with their own demons, some bigger than others and the game does not pull punches in that regard. The first time playing the story definitely made a heavy impact on me and is it biggest strength. Unfortunately once you start digging deeper you start to see that the logic behind the game is a bit lacklustre. There are story elements that largely get solved off camera that really should have been fleshed out a lot more, (Matt and that weird grey dude at the end, same with Jan) Additionally your choices are to a certain extend cosmetic and after the main gutpunch in the story it largely goes on rails and your input on the sparse choices you make from then on for the majority of the characters. Furthermore, because this originally appears to have been split in separate seasons, which apparently isn't uncommon for AVNs nowadays, you see stylistic changes in between the chapters as the developer gets better at their craft. Backgrounds can be very bare at times. Finally, apparently there was a license issue with one of the songs so part of it is without music and it all looks a bit amateuristic. That also means that you may want to grab the offline installer and store this game somewhere, not sure if the license for the current music tracks is perpetual or not. Still if you want an AVN where the story is worth reading and you can overlook the rough paintjob then you can't go wrong with this. Just make sure you are in a good place mentally to deal with the heavy subject matter.

Stars for the bucks and time

Just adding that for this price and the time for only one of the many stories you can have (finished my 1st story in 17hours and half), you can't give this game, sure not perfect, less than 5 stars. On your first story, you should have seen half the pictures of the game, so it should deserves doing the game 2 or 3 times to the end.
