Still getting better at Ver.1.11

With so many builtin tutorials and scenarios and the help of the kerbals, you pick up this simulation (in the broadest sense) fast. Also you crash your spaceships a lot, which is part of the fun (and the kerbal way of doing things). The visuals are stunning and getting better with every version. I started at Version 0.9 and enjoyed every minute of it. Also many mods give you endless possibilities. The paid DLCs are top quality additions. The community is vibrant and very helpful. Just go over to Twitch and watch somebody play this game, amazing. All in all, KSP is the one simulation (with a hilarious twist) for years to come.

Simply install Heroic Game Launcher and install from GOG store. While the game works out of the box, it might be better playable when you connect mouse and keyboard.

Special, Good, Overrated, Overpriced

Kerbal is a very special game that will offer you a unique (albeit flawed) gaming experience. To my knowledge there is no other game like it. There is something addictive and very satisfying about tinkering to build a rocket and then figuring the controls and the orbital mechanics. This game is a joy to figure out and learn, and it offers many hours of tinkering fun, but once you figured things out you will realise how limited and underdeveloped the game is. The concept of this game is awesome, sadly its a game developed by a lazy team that decided to rest on the laurels of a brilliant idea while milking the gullible to the max. Its a good game but not great, it offers a unique experience but its limited. Dont believe the hype based on the first few hours of gameplay, and above all dont believe Scott Manley's advertorials. For what it offers this game is very overpriced even with the 30% discount. Wait for a REAL discount that is bound to come.

Great Sandbox Game, IN SPACE!

Hello! I have played Kerbal Space Program on steam for 80 hours, and it is one of the best games that I have ever played, I started out by messing around with random stuff in the game for the first 48 hours, but than I really started to get into career mode! TO ALL OF THE NEW PLAYERS! If you are considering getting into KSP, you should really start in career mode, it gives you a chance to learn the game and get fimiliar with parts, also Career is the most complete version of the game, as well, there is a lot more to do in carrer mode. KSP has really great mechanics and a great learning system, you can even take a tutorial when the game boots up! There are a lot of things that you can do in KSP, including. Make spaceships and Planes, Explore sites on planets, (including the starting one), Go into space, go into orbit around planets, go to both moons, go to all of the planets in the game, create planet bases, create space stations, create sapce planes, AND if you somehow get bored of all of that, than there are even MODS! It is a great game, and I reccomend it to anyone that wants a good challenge and light hearted game!

Truly engrossing - many layers

It took me while, to come around to this game. Despite the non-stop 5 star reviews. Finally grabbed it on sale last year, and I have been engrossed ever since. Start by learning basic bit. Launch. Get to space. Learn to orbit. Then transfer to the Mun (moon). Each stage requires different techniques and different build of rocket, building on what was previously learned. Time to land on the Mun and return? May need to rethink your design. That's when you realize you played 10's or scores of hours and didn't even realize it...and you only went to the first body...there's another moon...and more planets...with their own moons! You start cracking open tons of incredible, community made mods to help with some of the more routine tasks that you have proven you can do - like Kerbal Engineer and MechJeb. Then you really delve in...and hundreds of hours pass over the next year,,,and you're...still...playing...like its the first time! I can't give this enough stars. My entertainment costs right now are only $0.06/hour for this game LOL.
