Thousands of years ago the great civilizations of Shangri-La, El Dorado, and Atlantis had vanished. Behind their mysterious disappearance lies a legend of power and destruction that will ultimately determine the future of humanity. As Gage Blackwood, Agent #5 of the Temporal Security Agency, you will travel through time, assume multiple identities, and weave your way through an intricate web of puzzles. Hidden within these lost worlds lies the key to mankind's survival.
Journeyman Project 3 is a worthy installment of the franchise. A fascinating story, memorable characters, and puzzles that are both fun and intuitive are only the tip of an iceberg of what this game has to offer. The third installment features gameplay improvements like a first person perspective view, and the new "Chameleon Jumpsuit" that lets you interact with characters form the past. Also, Jerry Rector does an excellent job playing Gage Blackwood. When compared to the previous installments, this one is everything they were and more. If you are a fan of the series than this is a no-brainer. If you haven’t heard of those games before then this is a good place to start, even though this is the third part, because the story exists independently from the previous ones, and the production values and gameplay are top of their class.
Enhanced graphics with double the video playback resolution over the original CD-ROM release.
Dozens of different locations ranging from mythical Atlantis, to the harmonious valley of Shangri La, and even the golden city of El Dorado.
Gripping plot with many twists that will keep you entertained for hours.
Assume the identity of 18 characters and experience their ancient cultures first-hand, using the "Chameleon Jumpsuit".

This was one of my favorite games growing up so it was nice to be able to have a downloadable version. Unfortuantely this no longer works well with Windoews 11, out of synch audio and video and difficulty navigating the game makes this game difficult to enjoy now. Another example where an update is needed so the game will work out of the box like it used to.
One of the must have games for me. I still have the original game DVD, but after a new Quicktime release of that time, the sound was trashed (like everything going through a vocoder), the game unplayable because of that. Nothing would fix that, like almost any other game that relied on Quicktime technology
Finally I can get back to play. Thanks to GOG!

Legacy of Time was one of my favorite games since I first played it, and remains so to this very day. This game was so good, it ended up having a pretty big influence on my general interest in science fiction as well as puzzle and adventure games.
Despite the somewhat low resolution, the visual appeal and storyline of this game was amazingly done (if a bit ludicrous), especially considering when it was created. Keep in mind, this came out even before Myst. I've played both, and I actually like this game better.
Traveling back to three mythical civilizations to find the pieces of a mysterious artifact in order to save the world from an alien invasion? A bit ridiculous in retrospect, but it's exciting as hell, and you have so much fun you barely even notice. The acting, puzzles, and lore more than make up for the slightly off storyline (and I feel the need to emphasize that it isn't really all that bad at all).
Buy this game. Play it. If you like sci-fi, puzzle games and/or adventure games, you will not regret it.
I think in technical terms this is the best of the series and shows what they really wanted to do with the first game. It's fluid and would have been great for that VR stuff that never caught on back then. The story isn't as good as the second one but it's not bad either. I liked that they kept a common thread through all the games. I wish they had made another but this game ties everything up nicely. No cliffhangers or big loose ends, nice bonus scenes at the end. Puzzles aren't too hard and you won't need any help or get stuck on this one.
Overall a really enjoyable game to play and good graphics which still hold up today.
Really fun, not terribly difficult in a few of the puzzles, and the hint system is really nice. I enjoyed the camp of the acting, and had no trouble running this game on my system. I'd not played the first two games, so there are a few points of the story I might have enjoyed more if I played those. But overall, a very nice game. I completed it in about 6 hours, so certainly worth the money.
