It leaves you wanting for more
The game has good roguelike and deck-building mechanics and a cool narrative twist. I liked the narrative, the originality and the progression system, I got really into the game and basically binged through it in a week. My issue with it was that the way the game presents itself to you, you'd expect it to be split into 4 or 5 acts..instead, it's just 3, and it definitely leaves you thirsting for more. It's one of those games where you feel like you are slowly building up to something great, both narratively and progression wise, but at some point it ends abruptly, leaving your deck half-way built to perfection, no satisfying end-game bossfight to break your teeth before the credits..the end just sort of "comes" and then you are done. I was genuinely confused when going back to the main menu, I was convinced a 4th act would be unlocked by pressing some random button just as a meta joke..but I checked online and no, it was really a short game after all, one you don't really feel like going back into because the challenge isn't really there after playing it once. It's a fun one off deck-building adventure with some nice twists to it if you go blind, which I recommend, so I'll still recommend it. Just don't trust the game with setting up expectations: the first act is very good, and the rest is good too, but despite what you might believe it's only 3 acts.

Bait and switch
Like other reviews have mention the beginning of this game is vastly different than the second act. What looked to be a fun mix of games like Hand of Fate 2 and Slay the Spire seems to shift, out of nowhere, into a less enjoyable version of the Pokemon TCG for the gameboy color. Everything from the gameplay to the graphics are entirely shifted and it becomes a much worse experience overall. I'm not sure why the Dev decided to change from a pretty fun and creative first chapter to such a mess of a second chapter. The second chapter throws in entirely new mechanics with little to no explanation to what they do, granted you know a little bit some of the cards you interacted with previously, but that isn't the case for all of them. As well, this change in style completely snaps the vibe and the atmosphere the game was naturally growing throughout the first few hours of gameplay. The game is worth checking out for the first chapter, for sure, but that's only a 5 hour or so experience before it flips it's script. Get it on sale or check out the first chapter and see if you can tolerate the second.

Starts strong
First act is very good: It has puzzles, strategy, story elements and it is a roguelite. Biggest problem was that some of the cards can break the game, and remove any challenge. 4-5 stars for 1st part. 2nd act is rubbish. It adds some complexity by adding more cards, but it looks worse. It is too easy and the roguelite elements are also removed. 1-2 stars for 2nd part. 3rd act is a mix of the 1st and 2nd. It is ok. 3 stars for 3rd part.

Fantastic, bold, original, suprising!
I have only good things to say about this game that should be at least tasted by everyone who likes clever, well-designed games, and who does not mind games that let you figure out everything on your own. Don't read about it, or you will spoil your game, jump right in and thank me later! You won't regret it! BTW yes, I am not a GOG owner of this game, because I already own it on Steam.
