A fantastic sequel
Great game, expands upon the original Hollow Knight massively. When you think you've found all the areas you immediately discover two more! Combat is punishing but fun, and gets better once you unlock some of the upgrades.

Oui... mais non.
La DA est magnifique certes, et la musique envoutante. Mais il ne suffit pas d'avoir une histoire mystérieuse pour être interessante. C'est du vu et du revu... j'ai eu l'impression de jouer à DS premier du nom mais en moins fun. Et le problème ce n'est pas tant la difficulté des boss, mais les arènes à n'en plus finir. Surtout celle de la tour corail. Sans parler de certaines phases de plateformes infâme pour n'y trouver qu'un champignon ininteressant...

An excellent sequel
Compared to its predecessor, the difficulty level has been ramped up considerably. The fact that almost every boss causes two masks of damage right at the beginning and that some also summon smaller enemies, makes it a tough nut to crack, even for experienced Hollow Knight players. However, the victories at the end are all the more satisfying and, together with the world, the story, and the characters, make up the special appeal of the Hollow Knight series.

Not good for Steamdeck on GoG
The game itself is a 5/5 but if you plan on playing on PC and Steamdeck (Heroic Launcher) alternatively I can't recommend. Cloud saving doesn't work on Heroic Launcher, so you're stuck on playing on a single device. If you have a GameSir pad it won't work on the GoG version for Steamdeck and I still couldn't force the game to use GE-Proton. If you want to multiplatform between PC and Steamdeck, buy the Steam version instead whereby cloud saves work. If you want to use a Gamesir pad on Steamdeck, buy the Steam version as it's easy to enfort GE-Proton to make a Gamesir pad work as intended Now, if you only want to play on PC, or on Steamdeck (handheld or with a standard XBOX pad), then it's perfect.
