Works on Steam Deck, with minor problems
Steam Deck compatibility: I beat the game but sometimes the game starts glitching out visually to a point you can barely make out what's going on. To fix the issue I had to re adjust the resolution in game. The game even crashed once or twice because of this odd visual bug. Not that bad of an issue but worth noting. Game review: I don't like metriod vanias or Zelda or any game that makes me find stuff for the most part, but this game's different. There was only two times I really got lost, and one of those times it was because something pretty obvious slipped my mind. This game is an A tier game at least. Good story telling, good fights, good discovery. I could get really in the weeds about what makes this game great but I think you just need to discover it yourself.

The Praise Was Real
I heard a lot about this game, and I can see why. It controls very well, the aesthetic and sound is very nice. Animation flows well with the movements of this game. Bug themed things aren't my, thing. But I liked the game regardless.

Solid game with some issues
Overall hollow knight is a very good game with a great artstyle and tight controls. However, traversing hallownest can get repetitive as many of the rooms are trivially easy with enemies that you can completely ignore, and many of the locations are not visually distinct. however, the bosses are very fun, with well telegraphed attacks and heart pounding patterns. There are also some very fun light platforming sections, in addition to a couple post game platforming sections that can be somewhat difficult.
