Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

To this day, I haven't played a game I enjoy more. Everyone I've introduced to this game (male or female, child, teen, or adult) has enjoyed it without fail. There is an option for hotseat multiplayer whereby up to 8 people could play the game together on the same computer, which I have used countless times. The random map generator adds infinite replayability. Game mechanics are engaging, full of depth, and straightforward to learn. Old as it is, the graphics/artwork still look great, and the music soundtrack is masterful. I can't praise this game highly enough.

I spent days on end playing on the same PC with 3 of my cousins. Weeks on end at that. So many good memories that I will soon be reliving.

I'm not very familiar with this series, but a friend introduced me to this one and it was love at first sight. Everything about this game is just appealing and fun... the gameplay is challenging but easy to learn, the combat isn't too complicated but has a lot of room for strategy, it's great fun to explore the map and uncover the dozens of different locations and encounters, there are a wide variety of factions, all with different buildings and units which are incredibly satisfying to build and upgrade, and the graphics and music do their job well. I also love how it's unapologetically high fantasy and doesn't try to be dark and gritty- it's the sort of game where you'll run around capturing leprechauns to extort piles of colorful gems from them so you can build a magic gate in the clouds and summon angels to fight for you. It doesn't attempt to be realistic or edgy, it just delivers a sincerely vibrant and enjoyable fantasy world and lets you run around exploring and conquering. Good times!

Almost every feature of Heroes of Might and Magic III is amazing. Heroes of Might and Magic III is the only game that returned me to gaming. I like design of almost all creatures, towns were made by NWC with especial love. I like that battle system of the game and strategic gameplay are all turn-based. This game is wonderful, deity of TBS.

I received a boxed copy of the original game way back when I was in middle school as a Christmas gift years ago. It came in a big box, and included a thick manual, as well as a fold out card with each creature and their stats on it. I played that game for hours and hours on end. All of these years later, I've found it here on GOG and fallen in love all over again.
