Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

The HoMM series reached its peak with HoMM3, in my eyes. I played both HoMM1 and HoMM2, which steadily developed the concept into the many-faceted gem that is HoMM3. The gameplay is, like all great games, easy to learn yet hard to master. With the addition of skills, magic specializations, tons of new spells and artifacts as well as hero specialities, this game took the whole genre to a new level which is unmatched even today. It is a remnant of the great times of PC-gaming where almost every new game would hold something that was actually new and revolutionary, beyond flashy graphics (Which btw this game has, for the time). This is a must buy game for anyone who enjoy strategy and fantasy. With near infinite replayability and a wonderful but time-consuming multiplayer mode, it's a real catch even when not on sale. If you haven't played HoMM3, what are you waiting for?

This game, is "IT" is something that u will never forget. It something that u want to play with ur sons. Best strategy game ever. Well designed, well story, everything. I joined GOG because of this game, also bought it for sale, 2.50 instead of 10, thx for that. This game can be described, played in a lot of different ways. I have been playing fantasy games since Temple of Apshai and Wizardry 1...that's 35 years worth...of all the games I have played, I have spent more time with this one than any other. Balanced, challenging, beautiful, completely bug-free, great audio, a million scenarios and campaigns available. It really has that "One More Turn" addiction/enticement...more than any other before or since...

HoMM3 is one of those games you can launch 10 years after its release and still find it as fun, interesting, immersive (thanks to a fantastic art direction) as it was when you discovered it. I couldn't recommend enough to any new gamer who didn't like the last HoMMs to get this one !
