When I first played this back in 2000 in a dank cellar with a borrowed pc, I did not know what journey this would be. i became obsessed. I bought the game, and I played the hell out of it. Every god damn world, every god forsaken mission. Again and again and again. I played it with my friends for 12 hours stright. Eventually i got bored of it. but then, every year, after 6 or 7 moths without playing it, I wanted to play it again. Now, 10 years later, I STILL got it on my pc. And I promise you, if you ever play this game, it will be the best time you ever had!

With 3 or fewer people, hotseat is a lot of fun. Time-consuming, but fun. Between Heroes III and MOO2 I, and my friends, have never found a better game for hotseat.

My friends used to sit around one computer and play this every single day growing up. I am beyond ecstatic that I can now play this on my Windows 7 machine!!!

HoMM3 is widely regarded as the best installment in the franchise, and with good reason. It's a lot darker compared to a mostly bright-colorful HoMM II, the third installment was darker, more atmospheric and was bursting with content. New artifacts, new units, new castles and just overall improvement to it's predecessor. It's a blast from begining to end. And if recent Heroes V (Let's never metion Heroes VI ever again)was your kind of game, hey it's just like it only better
