Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

HOMM3 is the best game ever made.

I've owned this AGES ago back when games came on CD drives (imagine that), and this actually works better than the copy I originally owned.

This is a near perfect game. Fun dynamics, strategy, and world building. Its graphics are of course dated and hard to see in some places, but otherwise a great game.

There aren't many negatives I can think of about this game. If you enjoy building a keep and armies, exploring, battle and strategy, this is the game for you. The scenarios are extensive, so lots of options for play. There are a lot od adventures that have 'defeat all enemies' as the victory condition, which can get old after awhile, but with the variety of maps and opposing armies, it's still an engaging game. I've called HoMM 3 the best because it has the most streamlined movement across the map, nice graphics, and solid music and sound effects. Each type of keep has its own unique music, which adds to the atmosphere of the game. I've not counted how many adventures are available in this game, but there are a lot. I've logged 370 hours so far, and I'm nowhere near the bottom of the list. This game is an amazing value for the money, and it's a good one to play with the (older) kids, because the character attacks and deaths aren't bloody or overly realistic/graphic.
