Absolute classic

This game is one of the best trucking games out there. Sadly my physical copy didn't work on Windows 10 anymore, so hoping for a different result, I bought it here almost instantly when I saw it, and boy is it fun, still today. This is not a classic trucking sim. You have your own truck (or car, make sure to try the M5) and deliver cargoes across the map. So far, so good; but here is the catch: Everytime you deliver some load, you are in a race against your competitors. Whoever unloads first gets the most money for the delivery and on top of that a license to hire your own driver. You can build up your trucking empire by being a fast driver. When I was younger, that aspect turned me off the game completely, but now that I am replaying it, I love it. It makes every delivery mean something. Add to that lots of other features, like the Mafia or the Police both of which you can bribe, shortcuts to discover, stolen loads do find and deliver. I'm not quite ready to call it in-depth, but it is definitely feature rich, and every single one of them feels well implemented and is very welcome. At this price, there is nothing you can do wrong.

Who to kiss for this release on GOG?!

So this is a game I used to play a lot at my fathers place as a child and i loved it. I tried to get this running in the past several times but it never worked modern hardware and I don´t have the time to search together old stuff from the Windows 98 era. And here I see the game thinking, well it´s worth a try because I really really want to play it again. And you know what? It works straight up with no issue at all. Now I can enjoy the flash of childhood memorys on my Surface Pro (2017) on Windows 10. Thank you very much, good job!!!

Absolute must have!

For anybody who played this game before,it is no-brainer to buy this game. Especially because even if you have your own copy, forget about running it on your fancy winx gaming machine. But now thanks to GOG its finally possible and i love you guys for it. Good job, well done again. P.S.: If you never played this game before, you really should consider changing that big mistake. :D

A classic that needs yet to be beaten

If you've played this game as a kid this is probably the game that will be forever engraved in your memory as the best truck simulator out there. Even though it came out in 2000's, this game has a passion and spirit that no other truck simulator was able to repeat ever again. Obviously the new ETS 2 and ATS are more modern, but the lack of arcade can be really felt, atleast to me. I've tried so many truck simulators over the years in hopes to find the one that could meet or exceed my expectations, but even after like 15 years or so, this game feels fresh and fun. It's so fun... Playing it on Windows 10 and it works fine. It has more glitches than I remember it having on Windows XP at the time, but it's playable and doesn't ruin the experience at all. Can some developer, please, just do a remake, or just create their own game in the same vein as this classic? Would be much appreciated. :)

5/5 purely for nostalgia

I spent so many hours on this game as a kid. My physical copy got damaged and I was so happy when it released on GOG. Talk about a trip back to the childhood! Objectively speaking, however, the game is not that great. It is old and it is buggy. It aged rather poorly. The world is rather small and it gets quite boring driving the same roads over and over again. Amazing how it seemd so large to a child. Its not really challenging once you get a better truck and learn the map. It offers quite a nice selection of trucks and other vehicles. Some of which are easier to handle than others. You can upgrade them at your local repairs shop. There are basic traffic rules and police will bust you for not stoping at the red light etc. You will get shot at by the mob for carrying precious cargo. You can take part in races that take place on a dedicated track. There is a day and night cycle. Sometimes there is rain. Your goal is to establish a sucessful trucking company. What I really like is that you can encounter the drivers you hire on the road (unlike euro truck sim). You can hire drivers by delivering cargo and obtainging hiring licences. Once you have a few employees the game becoms very easy as the money just keeps rolling in. The soundtrack is quite nice but gets repetative after a while. Overall, this game is mostly for those who are feeling nostalgic.
