Okay at best
Ghostrunner offer a niche parkour gameplay with cyberpunk thematic. The story is intriguing but cliché. The gameplay is average and the last levels design were just poor quality. The platforms were misaligned wich caused me to die on repeat and boss fight are just bad. I recommend to players who have a lot of patience. Otherwise, don't bother.

Speedrunners wet dream
A great little title, but like someone said already, this game is HARD. Buuuut now they added difficulty options to it. So you can grant yourself 1 extra hit absorb, and slow down the gameplay speed. I certenly used it, because the base game is super hard later on. Sadly it's a short game, so you have to decide if it's worth your money. They've added multiple game modes and difficulties that change the maps/enemies, new game plus pretty much etc, but still, I think it's too pricey. Gameplay is excellent, sound is ok, music is also excellent and the story is basic(aka nothing new) but good. Very enjoyable overall, just maybe wait for a sail, unless you're fine with something that takes only around 7-8 hours (if you're bad like me) to beat. Also they're charging 16 bucks for the DLS which I hear is only 3 h...come on...

Tedious and repetitive
Spend hours of trial and error just to get 30 minutes of perfect runs, story is not good either. Get Turbo Overkill instead although it's not perfect either it's way better than this. Other games to get that are also better than GhosRunner. Mirrors Edge Mirrors Edge Catalyst UltraKill

Frustration Type Pro
Well, cool looking game. I love the theme, style and music. But the game is extremely hard, you might die 100 times per minute. Maybe you are enjoying this kind of game, for example if you are into trying hard and eventually succeeding. Dunno. But to me these kind of small victories feel random, like rolling a lucky number on a dice, not as I would be responsible for progress while playing. - This kind of gameplay feels hollow and empty to me. I guess it's for people who are thriving on a hard competition. Like "hard to learn, hard to master"? Well, not my thing. If you are into first person parcour games, you might enjoy Mirror's Edge (I highly recommend the sequel ME Catalyst, what is not on GOG yet, unfortunately), Dying Light or Die Young. I have been enjoying these games very much. Have fun!

Fun, Hard, Violent 3D Hotline Miami
Ghostrunner is a challenging, tactical, fast paced first person "shooter/not really". Except you only just wield a sword and about 4 supernatural powers. You can instantly slice through a line of enemies, do a lethal Jedi Force Push and a couple more fancy moves. You can also dash around like you can in modern Doom games or some new boomer shooters. You also die in one hit like in Hotline Miami. BUT you get tons of checkpoints so it's not too frustrating. However Ghostrunner is still quite challenging. Thankfully you can slot little upgrade modules in your character and focus on certain moves and tactics you wanna stick with. You can also swap out upgrades freely, so you can experiment with different play-styles. The soundtrack is outstanding and you'll be grooving to these tunes while slicing and dicing through a moderately healthy variety of enemies. Speaking of which, there's not a bazillion different enemies to fight, but just enough. You'll not get bored from fighting the same enemy over and over because there's plenty of organic and robotic enemies. Plus bullets, or more specifically, laser blasts don't move too fast. So dodging enemy attacks isn't too difficult. All in all, Ghostrunner isn't too long. Main game plus DLC took around 10 hours. But it's a really fun ride and I recommend it. ALSO be sure to pick up the DLC. It's really fun and you'll find it in a bundle here on GOG for a really good price.
