Wonderful Dark Fun

I tend to have a somewhat dark sense of humor. So when this game first appeared 15 years ago, it was right up my alley. I bought it, installed it, and had lots of fun with it. Funny references to all kinds of horror titles, silly spooky ghosts, interesting puzzles, and a bit of strategy - it's all there, combined with cute graphics. Even if I wasn't very good at it, all the levels were a lot of fun to (re-)play. Lately, though, the old CD version - like many games of those days - is getting harder and harder to install, so I'm thrilled to see a GOG version. I'm gonna spook the hell out of a few more hapless mortals :)

Perfect game for Halloween!

There was a lot of care put into making this fun and unique game and it shows. Pretty much every character has at least a short individual backstory and every location was wonderfully crafted. The sound and visual design are nothing short of amazing, especially considering the game's release date and the mechanics haven't aged at all. Every mission offers a fair amount of challenge and requires some creative thinking. There's a variety of locations to visit, ghosts to set free, and secrets to uncover, so get your spooks on and let the haunting begin!

No Bonus Mission?

This game would be 5 stars if it came with the 15th and final "Bonus Mission": Class Of Spook 'Em High. Unfortunately, it was only available in a patch for the UK version so many of us never got to play it.

Funny and Creepy ! :)

I love this game !!! You should definitely try it, it's a great classic ! I'm very sorry that there was no sequel. There is a lack of such ingenious games on the gaming market.

Great overlooked game -- BUY

This is another sad example of a game that was totally overlooked when it was released and never got the attention and market share it deserves. Ghost Master has excellent production values and I think it perfectly pulls off the gameplay the designers set out for. The graphics also were very impressive and I love the style. There are a couple missions that seem a half-broken, ie - the actions you perform seem to illogically not meet your mission objectives. I remember those occurrences being bothersome but not nearly enough to get fed up with the game and that is the only complaint I can remember having about this awesome game. It's a shame they never made a sequel, especially considering the ending.
