Just as good as it ever was
Clunky interface and sophisication aside, this remains one of the greatest turn based strategies of all time in my book. Yes, it has a learning curve. Yes, it is difficult, but that's the whole point, isn't it? What Godfather is handed an easy experience?

The Best Gangster Sim PERIOD!
God I loved this game. I remember not having a computer, so I'd walk to the internet cafe and pay money just to play this game. I'd sit there for hours until my mom finished work. Everything about it is awesome. Sure the graphics suck, but it was good for its time. Especially the depth of the game. The ability to go from a small crew, to owning the city is the best. While killing, extorting and bribing your way to the top. It's a bit steep to learn, but once you do, you won't stop playing. This game brings back so much memories. Good times.

I remember...
...playing this with a friend of mine back in the days. A very deep gaming experience. Since then I tried to get hands on this game again but coudln't manage to get it to run on my notebook. After all the gog-version can be started. Unfortunatels still quite instable. Please improve perfomance of this real strategy-gem!

Best RTS Gangster Game
The game play is amazing, graphics are not the best but its the type of game that has timeless graphics. Its a game where you'll enjoy and have alot of fun for years and years. Hopefully one day they will make a gangsters 3 similar to the 1st but with updated graphics. Cheers 10/10 game play

Great game, when it works
It's a great game, if you can get it to work. I remember spending many a happy hour playing this about 15 years ago, alas it is not stable on my current machine. Give it a go though, it's worth the gamble.
